We’ve always liked this place - primarily the Penang fried kway Teow; carrot cake (which I think they have stopped); and the prawn noodles.
The fried kway Teow is about just nice - dry fried, not overly oily;
Next to try is the claypot- looks good and reasonable price.
Yummy Malaysian cuisine in Singapore! The Assam Laksa is superb, as I can savour the efforts put in to achieve the taste! However I’ve tasted better other dishes: the excessive garlic in the popiah should have been given to the fried kwaytiao instead, haha! So, I will return for the Assam Laksa, and perhaps try another stall, will update this post later!
The ordering system is slightly confusing. Pictures of the chilli ban mian is at one side but that side is only for ordering claypot rice and collection of ban mian.
I almost ordered mee hoon kuey but saw the picture of their ban mian which looks different and seemed springy. True to the picture, the chilli ban mian has very q and springy noodles with fragrant minced meat. If their chilli has hae bee hiam, i think it would make it more perfect.
