Bought a big cheese (original) tart to try as the mini ones were sold out. The cheese tart had an interesting fluffy, runny centre with a texture like meringue. Light, cheesy flavour and not too sweet. Flaky crust pastry :) not bad at all. Not as cloying or thick as the hokkaido cheese tarts.
Never had their egg tarts so I can't speak for that...but their sandwiches. Hot damn, one of the best I've had. It's a legit size even by ang mo standards. Requiring some effort to eat which means it's a real sandwich. Bacon, gooey egg, salad and other goodies. It's $10 which may deter some but 5 sandwiches later and a $50-lighter-wallet, I'm hyped for number 6. 🤟🤟🤟
Warm, friendly service. Delicious ice cream and individual cheese tarts, just love the Pablo stores and branding. Chargers for your digital devices are provided in the eating area. Depending on the day, their seating area can a be a quiet little haven to sit, enjoy a tart and catch up on computer work.
Thumbs up for both tarts and drinks.
Cheese Tart 4.5* - The cheesy filling was creamy and feels abit foamy to the touch with a more subtle cheesy flavored to it. Laminated dough as the base add layers to it and top it off with apricot glaze.
*Preferred it to be more cheesy but uniqueness scored points on me.
Mini Matcha 4* - Creamy matcha filling has rich matcha flavor and real sweet. The crust was biscuit like (hard and buttery) in itself was not bad. But both did not blend in as a dish.
Matcha Latte 4* - Rich matcha flavor with the perfect sweetness for me.
Mocha 4* - Very strong Mocha aroma and sweetness is on the light side.
+0.5* for having majority of food and drinks above average. Though price is on the higher end.
Their cheese tart is nice, but omg their chocolate tart is phenomenal. Not sure why this isn't their signature! Don't get the supposedly cheesy ice cream, although my friend who ordered it likes it
Lovely ambient, great for studying as they have tables with electric plugs. Cheese tart was good but expected more, not a big wow, but it is great nonetheless. Drinks are quite on the expensive side (~$6-8).
Nice cheese tart. It is the first store in Singapore. That’s why sometimes, there is a long queue at the store. Generally, to avoid queuing, I recommend going on weekdays and before noon. Usually you don’t need to queue up during this hour and you can get your order pretty fast. There is free flow plain water as well if you don’t want to take in excessive sugar. There are 2 kinda of egg tart, the original type and the classic type. The original type is the one that is famous. The classic type has a layer of crispy sugar on top. It’s also worth trying.
