I don't eat out much but this is one eatery worth patronizing. Though the place is kinda small but it is tastefully decorated and food is equally appetizing. Celebrated my girlfriends' birthday there. They put in little touches to make the occasion special. We are very happy and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Kudos to the chef and server who was very attentive despite the only person on the floor. Did I mention that the food was good... yes, I did. Had the sweet potato fries..highly recommended. All of us enjoyed our mains... and...and... for dessert the birthday girls had the malteser chocolate cake and warm chocolate puddling.... highly recommended. In addition, we had the waffles... all good. The only set back is this little gem is hidden in Clementi. Wish it is somewhere more central. Thumbs up all the way. Thank you for the great experience and excellent food.
It was a first time for my girlfriends and I to try the place and we were not disappointed. The birthday cake and sparkly candle (don't know the proper way to call it) was a delight. We loved the food, beautifully served & delicous and the service was all good. The waitstaff was very accommodating to our requests of taking our pictures to getting water and requesting for the steak to be medium well (from medium rare). They actually served a new one instead of re-cooking the steak served previously which is what we expected. Overall, we were happy, place is very cosy, will bring my family there for sure.
The food was good & presentation nice but it took wayyyyyyyy too long to be served. The kitchen took wayyyyy too long to start operating. When it did, all swung into place.
However I'm giving it 5 stars purely in recognition of Guo You , the waiter who's about the only 1 trying his best to serve all the tables. Most of the patrons were probably irritated by his apparent slow service or difficulty in understanding their orders due to language barrier. But after some observations, he's seriously the only one putting in effort, taking ownership & pride in taking everyone's orders. He took awhile as he needed to rewrite the orders for the kitchen. He was really trying his best despite being chided by some patrons and even his own fellow colleagues. We were irritated as well as our kids were getting restless waiting but we did not have the heart to scold him because he is really trying very hard. To reward him, my hubby wanted to give him some tips which he persistently rejected and say he cannot take it.
To the owners of this establishment, he may not be the star proficient employee but he is the most honest and sincere member you have in the shop today. With more training & patience for him, this is a staff to keep! People who take such ownership in their work are hard to come by these days. I hope you could pass this message to him.
