*UPDATE* The place has been closed 😭 end of an era... will miss this place!
I am personally quite shocked at the horrid reviews of this place, the Singapura Restaurant is really quite reasonably priced for a Chinese restaurant; sure this is expensive if you compare it to the local coffee shops.
The place is something right out of the 70s, if you want a complete throwback experience, ask them to put on the Theresa Teng.
The cold crab is great, tons of milt and roe and the hokkien mee is a must-order, really hits the spot if it's a cold rainy day outside.
Quaint little restaurant with authentic foochow dishes. Must try the Red Wine Chicken Soup, the FooChow fried liver, and the red bean fried pancakes. They are YUMS!! Oh and the Prawn Rolls too. A tad expensive but not exorbitantly so for people who eats at hawker centers and coffee shops.
Unlike any Sarawak Sibu's Foochow dishes I have tasted; this is more refined. Even the simple Foochow noodle has crispy crackle lard and Lala clams, apart from the usual ingredients - Sweet! Yam Orh Nee is a gooey paste unlike the Teochew's. Although the fragrant duck is a bit dry, but crunchy good to last bite. So is its Fried Prawn Roll - QQ too!
