On my recent trip back to S'pore. This place was on my must eat list. I ended up at the Jurong location one afternoon and I have to say that it didn't disappoint. This is my first time trying this style wanton mee. The flavours of the wanton mee is outstanding. It doesn't have that tomato based tanginess of the the Singapore style. Instead the taste of the respective ingredients come through each mouthful. The springyness of the noodles is definitely one of the highlights. Each mouthful makes you crave even more. It's a shame that the “unlimited” pork lard was not available here as I was informed that customers at this location abuse it by "tar powing"it home. I don't get those who do that. My only criticism was that the char siew was a little dry and once again I was informed by the manager Claire that it's a new supplier for a healthier option. I suggested fat on char siew is always a good thing....nothing unhealthy there. It's a shame I don't live in Singapore or else I would be a regular of this establishment. 5 stars for a wonderful dish. Special mention to the deep fried wanton and the crispy pork......hey it's fried....there is nothing to not like!!!
