We ordered 3 main dishes and 2 dessert. The food came within a short while. The freshness and typical Thai taste were authentic, not too spicy for our local standard. Helping was sufficient for 4 adults. The dessert were also good and refreshing especially the red ruby drink. Will definitely come back for other dishes like tom yam soup and prawn omelette. Staff were also friendly and helpful. The dinner experience was excellent.
This Thai restaurant is run mainly by Thais making it very authentic. The food we ordered were very Thai with no modification to suit local tastes, making it as if you are dining in Thailand itself. The service staff are all Thais and are friendly and provide wonderful services. Surprisingly, the food were served pretty fast upon order, so you don't have to wait long.
We reached close to 6pm on a Sunday and though the tables were less than half filled, the kitchen was busy churning out takeaway orders and all our dishes were served in about 20 minutes. The pineapple fried rice was rather sweet and lacklustre with no discernible breath of wok or turmeric fragrance. The chicken breast chunks in it were tough and unremarkable. If not for the whole toasted cashew nuts and generous heaping of pork floss, I find the dish unworthy of $10 for the meagre amount of ingredients. The Thai Basil Beef ($16) was very flavourful, and quite well-balanced in terms of savoury-sweetness. If you like oyster sauce and Thai basil, you'd love this though I doubt much skill is involved in the stir-frying process as the dish is so heavily seasoned. 70% of the beef slices were tender, and the rest had sinewy and tendony bits in the cut. It would had perhaps gone better with plain white rice. It was our first time trying the Acacia Omelette, we were pleasantly surprised by the bitter-sweet earthy notes of this vegetable. The omelette was skilfully fried, not greasy, and the edges were crispy and airy. The belachan chili really packs a punch and I could not stop myself from dunking it in. Would be back to try the set lunches which seem much more value for money.
