This stall is located at an obscure part of this large food centre. It will certainly worth your time to find it.
The chicken satay was juicy and succulent. Barbecue to just right amount of 'char'. Satay gravy was equally great with the good balance of peanut and pineapple taste. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
For $0.70 per stick, the meat were chunky, well marinated and nicely grilled. Generous serving of cucumbers and onions too. However, the sauce was on the sweeter side. E-payment was available.
A bit disappointed that everything were served on styrofoam even for dine-in. Also, you have to order by writing on a form, which I think is an unsafe practice due to the current pandemic situation because the pen is a source of cross-contamination, but do note that hand sanitiser is provided. But respect both guys for wearing face covers despite the intense heat in the kitchen.
The 古早味 is pretty legitimate. Even my dad feels like they're very old school, as if he went back to his Kampong times. Means something I guess, especially to the older generation. Tried their pork satay, and I must admit it's pretty good. Mind-blowing, no.
That said, given C19, their opening hours are very extremely erratic, also because of the lack of crowd compared to before.
They close by around 645-7pm, and they're now opened only Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
