Walked in with very little expectations but was pleasantly surprised. First of all i appreciated the toasted bread basket. Other places usually serve it without toasting. The white sauce pizza with sundried tomatoes was delicous, with a thin crispy crust. Simple but well done. I had the linguine puttenesca which was average. Bot bad, but not great. Could do with more anchovy. My friends had the crabmeat pink sauce pasta and parma ham ravioli. Likewise, both were ok. The seafood taste in the crab one was nice, and the parma one was interesting. Then we had creme crulee and tiramisu. Both good, but prices seemed a little high. Also, not sure why the creme brulee costs more than the tiramisu 😂 We also had a bottle of wine. Total was $210~ for 3 pax. A little on the high side but i feel it is ok for the quality of food and service. Would go back for the pizza, and to try the other items on the menu.
Another hidden gem with great food, cozy rustic ambience and exemplary service. Variety wise, seasonal specials were aplenty, adding on to a menu which was already diverse enough. Ordered steak tartare, seasonal oysters and granchio pasta. The steak tartare was very fresh and not gamey, with an interestingly distinct and refreshing pickled flavour. The Japanese oysters were plump and creamy, going for a good deal at 18 bucks for 3 plus a glass of house wine. The restaurant was also nice enough to accede to my request of making the granchio spicier and they duly delivered, with the ingredients being plentiful and fresh. Care was taken to time the delivery of dishes as well as the order of serving, while we were even given a complimentary orange for dessert due to it being the CNY season. Will be back soon for sure to try the other dishes!!
A delightful Italian treasure nestled amidst an Indian cuisine heartland. We were over the moon with the buffala and ortolana pizzas, but what blew us away was the four cheese pasta for its complex flavour profile that hits all the high notes on the palate. Tiramisu and panna cotta rounded up a supremely satisfying dinner made pleasurable by quick and pleasant service.
