That Har Cheong Gai Waffle though.. hits every fried chicken & waffle spot, cept with a twist, paired with that sambal maple syrup. Love the vibes of the shop! A definite must when in the east!
Bringing even more hip to Katong! Great food, service and obviously the fab coffee! Giving Weekends at Firebake a run for its money! Keep it up! Waiting for the ‘Now open till 10pm’ sign to go up now! #wishfulthinking ;)
I love this place!
Not only the food's incredibly tasty and the coffee awesome, the staff are friendly and attentive. The place oozes with positive vibes and I honestly can't think of a better place to start your mornings at.
Portions are bigger than average and you should take your time to enjoy.
Sat the end of the diner which seated 8 of us. Date of visit : Early Thursday morning, 14th July 2022.
Service okay 8/10. Have to self order & pay first at cashier. At such prices, expect more like their cousins at Common Man Coffee Roasters.
Food presentation 8.5/10.
Prices 8/10.
Ambience 8/10.
Latte large okay with oat milk. Would recommend skimmed or regular milk.
Bathroom 9.5/10. Clean, modern, pleasant to use. Soap dispenser has nice hand soap, feels & smells like Aseops.
Service staff were helpful & friendly.
The place has a really weird ambiance which i could not figure out. The food though was really great. They had good options for vegetarians. I think though that they lacked a specialty of the place. But the food and drinks in general were well placed. Service was quick and good. And the Food was tasty for sure. Definitely a place I would suggest to go for a brunch and spend some time with friends.
You can always count on Forty Hands for a mean cup of coffee. Strong, smells heavenly and rich. I don't like acidic coffee and their coffee is not too sourish for me. I had ordered the Long Black with an additional shot of espresso and an iced Mocha. Frankly, that iced Mocha looked way too cute to be drank. I like how it was presented with 1 cute toasted marshmallow.
Heard a lot of good things about this place, decided to drop in for brunch one morning.
Overall quite happy with the food, service and ambience. Unfortunately that day the coffee was way below par.
I ordered a tall black and my daughter ordered a Shaken honey oat latte, the coffee in both tasted stale.
But I would still highly recommend visiting Forty Hands!
Good ambience. The food, although pricey, it’s great! The Kong Bak Pau is very good, pricey too!
Coffee is good too!
I was here on a Sunday morning. The place was lively but I was ushered to my table, without having made a prior reservation.
Americano: Strong body and flavourful.
Warm veggie salad: Loved the tempeh.
Broccolini quinoa salad: Didn't look much but it was filling and tasteful.
Avoid driving here, if you could. Parking can be a nightmare.
Coffee was great. Food was ok. Love the batter but it's fried food overall. Still loving their tau sa pau after so long.
