Finally gave it a try as though a reward to them for surviving long enough in this tough game. We headed for the basement section as the rooftop was in the midst of opening up for the evening. The backdrop of this unique setup was made special with a showcase of old toys, reviving the memories of yesteryear. Many forgotten toys immediately transported me back to my childhood days, setting the theme of the night in nostalgia. A highly raved item here was the korean spice chicken wing, slightly spicy and the crusty coat was simply divine, opening up your palate for more to come. We had the wagyu burger for main and it was an awesome piece of cow on our table. My partner had the scallop pasta and that too didn't disappoint. In all, the fare from the kitchen hit a high mark on the wall and I would think this standard will stay. Service staff was meticulous, we were served by a defty young chap who ran his trade like a trained hand from an institution. The price was slightly leaned to the high side but it was not enough to cause a constraint balanced by its lure.
The statues and enamel prints give the restaurant a pleasantly thematic dining experience. It helps greatly when the friendly staff offers to introduce the menu's specials! The pork skewers were tender and savoury. Ordered the platter and my concerns that there was too much meat was met with an extra dash of herbs and quinoa. I fully appreciate the touch of extra effort that made my dinner more enjoyable without the guilt of meat-bingeing. The savoury dishes would have gone superbly with wine but while I didn't order any, it was comforting to note that there was a 1-for-1 promo. Thank you! (;
Great service and the Iberico steak was to die for .. Goes very well with the poached pear slices and the tender beef slices simply melt into your mouth.. Droolsworthy :>
