Brought hubby there for birthday dinner and he really enjoyed it~ He was most amazed at the taste of mushroom macchiato. All the dishes were made with effort, very creative and interesting. Definitely a place we’d recommend and visit again.
The food tells a lot about the chef's effort. Had the 7-course degustation menu. Thoroughly enjoyed the umami mushroom macchiato, the tender sous vide steak, maple bacon bits, the... argh, I'm making myself wanna go back again!
There was no service charge, but we got much better service than many places which dared charged that. The staff made sure to introduce us to every dish before we dug in, ingredients, cook times, eat style. Water got topped up quickly, too.
I personally love the fine dining feel. Creative Chef must have experimented a lot to come out with such creative and delicious dishes . Beside being delicious, the food presentation is awesome too. $49 for a nice set dinner. Do have a walk around the Everton Park to enjoy the wall murals as well.
Staff made effort to explain every dishes, ingredients used and how to best enjoy it. Highly recommended 👍
We first had the festive menu, which was pretty innovative as the chef used various cooking techniques and presentation styles in his dishes. The tinned fish was such an example.
The food was generally of a high standard, though I did wish there was a little bit more. My wife, who is petite, found the portions to be acceptable.
We did not really like the otah, though, but the sourdough bread was good. The mushroom soup, served like a latte in a cup, took many hours to make and was delicious.
We liked the meal so much that we immediately made a reservation for lunch, to sample his usual fare.
Prices are reasonable and service by the young gentleman both times was very good, and he took the time to explain how the dishes were cooked.
Both times, the dining experience was good and I am sure we will be back. It is good to support young and innovative chefs like this.
We tried the amazing value dinner set - as each course was brought to our table, one of the chefs would introduce the dish, making it feel like a more personal experience. As we enjoyed each course, we looked forward to being surprised by the next one it was like a culinary adventure! I'm not a fan of mushroom soup in general but theirs was the best mushroom soup I've ever had and I finished every drop :)
You can tell how much skill and creativity has gone into each dish. As I watched the chefs at the open kitchen prepare the food, I was struck by how young and hard working they are. They are passionate about what they are doing and I'm sure Marble Bistro will be a success. Highly recommended!
Wonderful food in a relax environment. Feels like a hidden away place. Enjoyed the food tremendously. Extremely good quality and taste for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!
Every dish is carefully prepared and taste is consistent over a big number of visits.
The tasting menu is fantastic with many surprises. Must drop by for a special culinary adventure!
Extremely impressed by the service, ambience and food. Was not expecting such quality and elevated taste. Got the tasting menu, and every dish was very well presented and introduced. The flavour of each dish was unique, playing with texture and tastes. The whole experience was very pleasant and delightful. Would definitely recommend and return!
The chefs at Marble Bistro clearly put their heart and soul into the food they serve up - every dish has its own surprise. My personal faves: Presented like a cup of coffee, the Mushroom Macchiato with truffle foam is an absolute delight (a very creative and exquisite version of mushroom soup). The bite-size Fish & Chip is THE BEST I've ever tasted (nothing like the traditional kind). The Beef Steak, Miso Salmon are also super delicious. The young man who served us was also very polite and even briefly shared about how the food was prepared for every dish he served up. My friends and I were impressed with the entire dining experience at Marble Bistro!
What an enjoyable evening dinner at marble. We had their tasting menu for 2. The highlights are: vanilla bean panna cotta, prawn noodle, Hokkaido scallop chwee kueh, parmesan cheese tacos. The staff were attentive and paced it just right. Highly recommended!
Cosy little bistro along the same stretch of hip cafes/shops that Nylon coffee is on. It definitely punches well above it's weight in terms of presentation, execution and taste. They experiment with different flavors without crossing the line into weird food territory.
Highlights are the warm mushroom essence with cold truffle cream, basil cream cheese cones and the panna cotta presented like traditional soft boiled eggs, complete with dark soy (balsamic reduction) and pepper (cinnamon powder).
The sous vide pork jowl was also perfectly tender and finished with a nice char.
The best part is not getting a rude shock when the bill arrives. For $44 (after taxes) it's probably the most value for money tasting menu in Singapore. For comparison, a lunch degustation at Jaan will set you back closer to $400, and the food there is definitely not tenfold better.
