An interesting restaurant. We tried the signature samsui chicken and a few other dishes. For small eaters, this restaurant is perfect. Food is served in individual portions. It's small but enough for 3 of us to share. I finished lunch feeling quite full. Service was good.
The signature samsui chicken wasn't anything amazing in my opinion, and probably not worth the wait. As someone who likes strong flavors I much prefer the spicy tofu and sambal kangkong.
I tried their weekdays individual set meal and I was very delighted with the food quality and quantity. I ordered their signature hometown fish belly with egg fried rice, they used long grain rice and were individually coated with egg, the fishbelly was pleasantly tasty as well.
Did I tell u that their $12.90++ set meal also comes with your choice of double boiled soup? I tried their waisan with ginseng root with chicken soup, the restaurant was very generous with the ingredients.
You may wish to complete your experience by topping up a nominal fee of $3.90 for tea and dessert.
Lastly, I would like to comment on their service. Lye Wah served me and she was very patience and thoughtful with her recommendations. Overall I had a wonderful visit at Soup Restaurant - Paragon
