Great location, indoors with an outdoor feel. And a clear view of the waterfall. I love it that there are so many vegetarian/vegan options. Spoilt for choice. The all day power breakfast is very good, lots of different items in it. I like the Japanese katsu curry, as well as the sticky date pudding. And the service is quick.
The ambience at Jewel is hip and trendy. It is a good place to stand and stare. I ordered the flat white with oat milk. It did not disappoint. My wife ordered the carrot cake. It was served cold but the taste improved after it was warmed up. Prive at Jewel is a place for random moments and good coffee. The service of the staff is average but I suspect that they are short of staffs.
Always love coming here to try the specials of the day! There's always a vegan option available and must of them have been really delicious!
I've had the vegan samurai beef bowl, which was really tasty and had lots of fresh vegetables and pickles to balance the savory "beef"
The banana blossom fish and chips wasn't as great. When I first cut into it, I was amazed at how much it looked like fish. But the taste itself really isn't similar to fish at all, I personally didn't think it tasted very good.
The tindle katsu curry was really really good, you get a nice thick vegan chicken cutlet, you won't miss animal flesh at all!
The impossible sliders are really cute and tiny, you get 3 of them. They were incredibly juicy and delicious!
Most recently I had their festive impossible meatloaf, which was pretty good as well. The portion was bigger than I was expecting, the meatloaf was ok, but I didn't love it. The roasted zucchini that came with it was really good, which I didn't expect because I've never liked zucchini. Plus I've had it before last January, they just recycled the same dish and slapped "festive" on it despite it not really being very festive??
They also have a good range of vegan cakes. I've tried their carrot cake and wow, it was really amazing! I have no idea how they made the cream cheese frosting vegan, because it really tasted like cream cheese. The cake was also topped with a caramelized walnut going, which added a nice nutty crunch to the cake
Only downside of this place is the price, definitely not somewhere to dinner at regularly without hurting your wallet
