Always a pleasant experience. Staff are. Attentive and never gruntle to provide assistance. Even if its the smallest request, the staff will gladly do. The concept of overservicing is presented in hai di lao, hence the overpriced food which would cost half as less if you bought them at a nearby supermarket. A decent meal with about 42 sgd per person. The free flow of sides and drinks really make up for the overpriced food. Generally, remb to book an appt slot before turning up or the waiting time is about 50 mins if you walk in. Overall pleasant experience for large groups of 10. Enjoy!
Its been a while since Ive visited HDL. Today, ive been reminded of why HDL dominates the high end hot pot industry.
Fantastic service from 凤芝 from the moment we step into the restaurant till we leave. Extremely thoughtful service from her. Appreciate it! Food wise, quality is top notch and fresh. The experience is worth every penny spent. Great food and top class service! Not to mention, the restaurant has relatively good outdoor views too.
This HDL outlet is located at level 6 of Royal Square @ Novena. They take up the entire level so the lift goes directly to the restaurant. Will definitely return!!
Disclaimer: I've never enjoyed a dining experience more memorably as when the performer skimmed my sister's hair with a skein of noodles. :)) The handwritten note in mandarin with Pepa pig drawn was a good touch as well although I wonder what would happen were we an Indian family? Total bill was over $230 for 5pax and came with $4.68 deduction from our $6.50 parking as we came before 5pm. I liked the flavour collagen soup best and considered it tastier than Beauty-in-a-Pot's but my sister called it "fake" collagen. Have no idea why. Maybe because of the turmeric colour?

Food was very fresh as usual, they also served quite an array of sides. Quite worth the $!
Everything from the service, side dishes, drinks, food and dessert were absolutely superb, as always. Had been a while since I've been to Haidilao myself, while it was my good friends first time there yesterday since he had just come back from the US. He was impressed with the service and food quality. We were celebrating our belated birthdays too and they served us a fruit platter and cake after as well. Overall amazing as always, can never complain with Haidilao.
Was rather overwhelmed by the service on my first experience at HDL. Good that they have a DND option otherwise the fuss can be too much for a peaceful meal.
Choices aplenty that is for sure and was delighted to find 黄喉 and 毛肚 which are not commonly available.

Came here with my buddy for dinner and catch up. Been to a few hdl and other brand hotpot, (we know its premium service hotpot so consider prices aside), the experience was absolutely awesome. My next objective is to bring my fiancée here.
1. Service was good, we know hdl is known for their service but this royal square (next to novena square and mrt) all their staff are very service oriented. From bringing us to waiting area, serving the titbits and drinks, walking us to dining area, asking us to watch the steps, ordering, serving, explaning the features and types of dishes, every single one whom we saw say thank you when we leave. Experience was like uhh making you as a customer feels good lah!
2. Features like wireless phone charging on the tables and wet tissues available are something I don't see in other hdl or maybe i didnt pay attention earlier I can't remember. They also had automated AI machines that move around to serve the food, something that is in line with current technology stack.
3. Most places are neat, organized and clean, including the toilet which is very classy.
4. Food wise its up to standard I suppose. Fruits dont turn black after left for long. The pork belly when boiled for so long in the soup since it was a catch up so we chatted for long, when scooped up, was still so fresh and chewy not hard at all. Go home that time still can pick up ice creams to eat which is awesome placement and right time. Most would served within the place where you dine in. But here putting it at the exit/entrance is perfect idea! There is also hotpot ingredients which I dunno if we can take but maybe next time will ask. Should be free too wow.
