Definitely recommend the peach oolong tea! The tea is super fragrant and they're super generous in giving a tea bag for each cup!
TLDR: Cute cups, nice decor, yummy creamy milk tea, interesting pearls! Also on Favepay (hooray to 10% cashback, because I know I'll be coming back)
They offer Kokuto Brown Sugar Pearls which are brown sugar pearls... with the texture of white pearls! Compared to Brown Sugar Pearls (which they also offer), it is more chewy, slightly harder and provides more bounce. I have been a convert ever since I first tried it so knowing that they have a brown sugar version of it was huge plus point. I love it, and so did the friends that I recommended this to!
The only misgiving is their medium cup is really small so you probably need a large cup to satisfy your craving. Below are detailed reviews of the various drinks I tried:
Love the Korean Milk Tea (5% sugar for hint of barley tea taste, 30% for sweeter & more milky version with creamier texture). Good for those who like they milk tea smooth, milky and creamy! Haven't tried the higher sugar levels for this but assume it will be too sweet. 30% is already rather sweet and can get slightly cloying towards the end of a large cup.
The Green Milk Tea (50%) was rather sweet and at 70%, tasted like overload of sugar syrup. While nothing extraordinary, the green milk tea (30%) is a good go-to basic drink that I know I can count on to satisfy my milk tea craving when I'm craving for something less heavy & creamy (as compared to Korean Milk Tea).
Tried the Roasted Oolong Milk Tea (0%) previously and didn't like it. And I'm a usual fan of Roasted Oolong Milk Tea... The taste of milk was too jarring (not in a good way, and it wasn't creamy as well). Might give this another chance @ 30% sugar onwards in the future.
Also had the Lapsang Souchong Tea (5%), was recommended by the staff that this was one of their most flavourful tea. Indeed, the tea taste was strong in a very different way from Oolong (which I personally feel is rather gentle -but i have been told otherwise by people who are not fans-). Not a fan of this personally but think it could be worth a try for people who like strong teas.
In all, five stars for them simply for the korean milk tea and cute packaging! Can't wait to try out the tieguanyin tea next. Wish they would introduce a tieguanyin milk tea next!!! (Owner, do you hear my pleas!)
Ps: more bbt leds regretea!!! How cute!!
I liked their Korean Milk Tea.
