Went 2 times in 2018, the most recent was in this year's Chinese New Year (Feb). A few points to take away:
1. Food was homely, like 家常菜, and I could see quite a number of elderly folks eating there
. I was eating with my family so it feels nostalgic since we do not eat daily family meals anymore. Their signature bean curd, braised pork trotters and long beans are great.
2. Both times I went there, the restaurant was mostly empty so it's good if you want to find a place for a group. Lots of seats available.
3. This place is great for their free flow tapioca porridge and tea at a reasonable price so it's a great place to chill.
Forgot to post reviews previously haha but I'm quite shocked by one of the recent reviews..… the place was positively clean and no "should-be alien six-legged creature" was seen the last I was there
Great restaurant level Chinese food at decent price. No need to wait even on weekends. But this could be worrying as their business is limited. Hope they continue to remain in business!
The same Oasis my parents used to bring me to near Kallang Stadium. Not as magnificent as before, but the food is still just as great.
