Went there after dinner and didn’t eat much. Their spicy salmon roll, coupled with their genmaicha ($1.20 free flow!) made my after-dinner treat a fantastic one :) good place to chill out with your friends till late at night as well, though the rolls are a bit pricey.
Dinner for 2 on 9 Sep 2017 - 1st visit
We made a reservation via their Facebook page and got a bigger table as requested and were seated earlier than our reservation/restaurant dinner opening time of 6pm. Service was prompt and our tea cups were refilled quite quickly.
Wasn't expecting free appetisers of crispy salmon skin coated with kobayaki sauce - this was quite a nice surprise.
The Chirashi Don, Saba Shioyaki, Ika Geso Karaage and Foie Gras scored high marks with us - the sashimi was fresh and thick, the grilled fish juicy, the deep fried squid legs very fragrant and crispy, and the foie gras succulent.
We also had Agedashi Tofu, Edamame and Grilled oyster and bacon skewers which were of pretty good portions but will probably give the kushiyaki items a miss the next time and just stick with the items that are really good.
Good value for the prices charged (plus 10% service charge but no gst).
Will be back again for what they're good at and to try some other items on the menu.
