Have been frequently visiting this shop for the last 1 year and love their dumplings/noodles. Run by a group of 3, their dumplings are hand made and love the flavour, filling and consistency every single time. Love their steamed and pan pried dumplings as they compliment each other very well. Dan Dan noodles is the other favourite and their noodles is as good as their dumplings.
Inexpensive and such a great value but absolutely on par with some of the restaurant's when it comes to flavour and delicious.
When people visit Zior Road hawker center they would see that there is a long queue for the fried kway tiau. But there are other notable stalls with great food too. I went for the Ah Wang La Mian Xiao Long Bao. There was a queue but they served fast. We ordered QQ noodle and Fried dumpling. The noodle was springy, served with braised egg, minced meat, and a spoonful of their homemade chili. It was semi dry because the broth was on separate bowl. I especially like to add their other chili because i like it hot and spicy. Putting the fried dumpling into the noodle and mixed it is the way i like it. As you can see from the photo. It's crispy yet juicy inside. Highly recommended.
I heard great reviews of this stall and was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the xiao long bau was. My husband took almost all of it and although I only managed to have one... it was good enough for me to give a 5 star rating. The prices are reasonable too. But be prepared for the long lines though!
Dumplings are definitely a must have. One of the better ones that I’ve tasted so far. Nice crust on the outside, fully packed fillings that are well marinated. Adding some shredded ginger and vinegar, would enhance it as a whole. The noodles were so-so for me. Texture of noodles were alright, but the gravy was normal, nothing special to it.
Szechuan spicy wanton aka Hong You Chao Shou (pork wanton in chili vinegar) - one of the best in Singapore of all that I’ve tried. Thin skin wrapped with minced pork fillings. Highly recommend!!
$5 for 10 pieces.
I only go to Ah Wang for dumplings, all varieties. I've tried some of their other dishes but they don't deserve mention. No bad mouthing. Their dumplings are a hidden gem but have th fresh and they're not as good cold.
Super value for money - yummy and large portions at affordable prices!! I love these dimsum stalls in hawker centres - they definitely give the established dimsum restaurants a run for their money
I thought the xiao long baos could have been juicier though! Nonetheless, I enjoyed both items and they are items I will order again 🥰
