Craving for Mee Pok Ta, so dropped by Hong Lim hawker centre. My go to Minced Pork Mee Pok is not the popular Michelin Tai Hua but Ah Kow's. Come just pass Lunch time and for one, doesn't need to queue and for two, value for money for a traditional taste. Some might find their noodles bland. But the
Minced Meat Noodle. Did not taste as good as I remembered, not sure if its a change of hands but the saving grace is its Teochew dumplings. Then again, it could also be its location in a food centre full of other more promising food options that makes this dish pretty ordinary.

Here to try after seeing a review on Ms Tam Chiak site, not impressed. While tossing the noodles, could smell the vinegar but strangely can’t taste the vinegar/sour note. Noodles is on the soft side despite it’s al dente appearance. $5 for this.

Delightful vinegar in noodle. Love the ingredients too, dumpling and the "dried" fish. We ordered the dry mee-pok.
The stall unit has changed hands and is now Ah Sing Teo Chew Minced Meat Noodle. Was disappoint by the standard, with the dumpling skin too thick and no BCM taste. Not worth the wait and price pay for. The $5 better spend elsewhere.
Not the Ah Kow that some diehard foodies associate the stall location with. Gave it a try anyway, and found it good tasting. Expected more oomph or ingredients for $5 a bowl though, so won't be back soon until I have given the rest of the stalls at Hong Lim the once over.
