The starters were absolutely yummy. Had the grilled fish and beef. Both were heavenly. Dishes made with soul. The backlane entrance with lighted laundry lines was quirky. What a hidden gem!

Great food, great service, great happy hour deal. The only reason for a lower score on atmosphere was that it was so quiet on a Saturday night!

I recommend the Brussels sprouts in miso, the fried shishamo, pork belly and mussels, and the meatballs in cabbage. I'll definitely be back to try the other dishes. And for dessert the honeycomb cake is excellent. Service is attentive without being intrusive and there is a cool, quiet ambience about the place.

Not a big fan of places that sell water, but besides the drinks, the food is quite innovative and value for money! Beer-battered shishamo was a little oily but the beef short ribs was tender. Could have been a bit more fragrant, but the Kingfisher collar definitely hit the spot! Loved the mussels as well!

The mains here are quite expensive for what you get. We used an app which gave a 1:1 discount, but even with that it's relatively expensive. Drinks also not so cheap. The restaurant was empty mid week.

Getting there at 9pm, the place was strangely empty, with only one table occupied. Located opposite the Jalan Besar Sports Hub, you can either do street parking or I would recommend parking at the Sports Hub itself. I actually like the interior, though the seats were kopitiam-ish and tin crockery was a bit of a mis-match, but the dim lights and a damn good playlist got me. Only 1 table was occupied when we got there at 9pm on a Thursday night. Our server made recommendations and we ordered the following: 1. Crispy Chicken Skin Paperthin pieces of crackling crunch, lightly dusted with salt and seasoning that was so satisfying and yummy. 2. Cockles in Chilli-Caramel Sauce Don't let the name of the sauce throw you off cos it works well with the cockles. Tasty! (Pricing needs to be tweaked for this one cos $14 was way too pricey.) 3. Beef Short Rib Enjoyed this well-cooked dish that had all this meat fatty flavourful goodness that went well with the tangy sauce it came with. 4. Crispy Pork and Cold Mussels The pork was juicy and that skin was crunchy! But not sure if the cold mussels were a good add to it. Portions were good for sharing but the prices could really use some tweaking. Either tweak prices to suit portion size or vice versa. If we had not used the Entertainer app, these 4 dishes would hv set us back $100 easily, which was too much to pay for a meal like this. This place has potential to be a gem of a late-night supper joint, I do look forward to going back and hope to see more reasonable prices!

Food was cooked nice and well seasoned. Ambiance was a bit dark but it got brighter after a while. Food was nicely portioned out if you are sharing.

More hits than misses while we dined there. The restaurant served an interesting take of Asian inspired dishes tapas style. We started with the crispy mushrooms, which were addictive umami fried goodness, although we did wish they were fried a little longer for that extra crunch. Nonetheless, it makes a good bar snack. We proceeded to have the lamb ribs next, and it was pure melt in the mouth tender, the meat fell off the bone and the fat was rendered so perfectly and complemented the meat so well. We paired these with rice cakes and it certainly gave the plain rice cakes the much needed complement in the flavour department, although the amount of fat could render both dishes very greasy at the end but i figure one would wash it all down with beer. The last dish to arrive was the belly mussels, essentially crispy pork belly with chilled sweet-sour mussels. The only saving grace for this dish was the sweet-sour sauce, which provided the acidic contrast to the fatty meat. Pork belly was cut slightly too thick and was not tender enough, and sadly the highlight which was the crackling, was not crispy enough. The mussels were just alright, and as a whole we felt this dish did not warrant its price tag. Overall, given its price point, the tapas dishes are not cheap given the portion sizes, and I might consider returning on special occasions to give the other items on the menu a try.
