Charges slightly steeper pricing compared to the regular Zi Char rates. Quality is pretty good but not exceptional. Some dishes are not really worth their prices - in terms of quantity and taste. Their beer is nice and cheap though.
On a more positive note, sea breeze is great while dining along the deck. Indoor seating is also available if you prefer an air-conditioned environment instead. Service can be really very slow at peak hours as they might be massively understaffed. They forgot some of our orders on one occasion and took >20minutes to take out orders on another instance.
Food was good, love the salted egg crab. Drumlets were nicely marinated. Seahum were nice too.
However, the service need to be improved. Attitude waitress did not wish to entertain us when we called for her. I did call in the morning for reservation of evening table, they told me to do walk in. We did walk in and staff told us we had to finish our food by 7.30pm (which we did). After we finished at 6plus, staff still nag us again while clearing our table. We had been asked to walk in and yet been treated as disruption to their arrangement.
Bad Service can ruin the whole dining experience so hope it can be improved.
Simple zichar fare served here— wouldn’t go as far as to call it amazing, but the food quality sure didn’t disappoint either. Fried bee hoon, sambal sweet potato leaves, minced meat tofu were good.
The great view of the pier/jetty is definitely a big plus point!
