By far the most authentic Penang food I have ever had in Singapore!!! Tried Asam laksa, Prawn noodle, Lor Bak and Char Koay Teow.
All very good!! Especially like the prawn noodle as it is very difficult to find a good Penang prawn noodle in Singapore! The portion may be a bit small but you know they put effort in the broth and ingredient instead as that is the authenticity that others could not achieve in Singapore so far.

Authentic Penang cuisine. The prawn mee broth is tasty n flavourful. Freshly fried crispy lor bak, Malaysia style fried carrot cake with alot of ingredients. The fried kway tiao is just a disappointment, something is lacking. Have a overall good experience in this eatery

Was there on a Tuesday night after 7.30pm. Self ordered at counter. No service charge & GST so cost wise is good. Food was served quite fast as there was only 3 groups of customers so thumbs up. Penang laksa was appetizing & flavourful especially the thick white beehoon which was different from our typical local thick laksa beehoon. But portion was not filling. Hokkien mee broth was not sufficiently rich with prawn flavour. Nevertheless, the 4 prawns were considerably big but not flavourful. Worth mentioning would be the pork in the prawn mee as they were tasty & soft. Carrot cake was so-so. Definitely going back again for the laksa & also to try the lor bak, fried tofu & salted egg yolk chicken!

We ordered prawn noodle, carrot cake, char koay teow, curry chicken, lor bak and penang otak. Prawn noodle is authentic and soup is nice. Carrot cake quite hard, curry chicken portion is quite big but the curry taste so-so, penang otak dun have the 'leng ka luk' leaves so not so authentic. Lor bak is quite nice and meat quite a lot. If have the 'lor' sauce to dip with the lor bak it will be good. Char koay teow is quite ok. Most of the meal come with rather big Prawn, so it is quite value for money.

Visited them on 9th sept. It should be more than a month of operation. But the SOP really need to be reviewed. When we order the food, the lady say you might have to wait, then we ask is it 30 minutes ? She say about there. So we are fine in waiting. Order prawn noodle, Fried carrot cake, crispy toafu and fried chicken in prawn paste.
1. Serving of food are not in sequence of customer . ( total capacity is less than 20 seating)
2. Our dish came after the later customer place order after us get served with similar order.
3. Waiting time 1.5 hours , eating time 10min
Food wise
1. Noodles in the prawn noodles too soggy
2. Taofu and prawn was nice since it's hot and crispy
3. Fried carrot cake definitely not Penang style, it's deep fried Carrot cake and then just lightly stir fry mix .
Compliment are
1. Fresh large prawn are being used.
2. "Hair bee hiam" topping on fried carrot cake
Verdict
Unless you are having a date meal and need to kill time in a cafe, then it would be great. But don't go there with an empty stomach

Dope food. Had the beef stew, carrot cake, prawn mee and ngioh hiang/lor bak.
The beef was just the right texture, enough bite without being chewy and tasted distinctly asian(which is a plus, it's penang food.)
The rice that came with the beef stew was perfectly cooked, a rarity these days.
I'm too full to type anymore but the rest of the food was pretty good too, esp the lor bak. A pleasant surprise for a random lunch on a thursday afternoon.

Went to try the food today, the wait was nearly one hour for all the food to be served and the main dishes came at all different timing. We didn't really get to eat 'together' because the wait would mean someone's food will be cold.
The food however changed the tide of this review, it was really good and price very reasonably.
Would be perfect if the waiting time matches the quality of the food.
Will be back again to try other dishes but most probably on a weekday to skip the long waiting time.

Overrated place. Food was just average. My group ordered Lor Bak, Prawn Paste Chicken, Penang Laksa and Fried Carrot Cake.
Lor Bak and Prawn paste chicken were tad salty. Only carrot cake was good. Went at 7pm and they had ran out of Salted Egg Yolk Chicken and even, coffee�.
Shop was not well ventilated, fumes from the cooking in the kitchen will overwhelm the dining area. Be prepared to leave the place with the smell from head to toe.
Staff were not really attentive. Called for bill for 20 mins (waving in their directions) and nobody actually saw.

Happened to pass by this cafe and was enticed by the posters outside. Tried the Penang Hokkien Mee. Lovely deep flavoured broth with the taste of a good bisque. Will definitely be back. To try the other dishes on the menu which look equally tempting. And it's very good value as well!

Carrot cake was the best I've had in Singapore so far! Penang Lor Bak also delicious, order more than one. New restaurant so kitchen is still working on timing but I will be coming back.

Haven't tested such a good carrot cake for the longest time in Singapore! Not to mention their yummy deep fried seafood n pork tofu! Service is great and definitely going back for more!

Tried the fried kway teow and was delicious. Had the wok hei taste and the chilli is good too. Blends well with the kway teow. The price is reasonable too. Will definitely be back for more.
