Feeling of granny’s love can be found here. Old shop, same recipe for decades. Here Yong Tao Fu (stuffed tou fu) is served half soup half dry on the same plate!
The name is closer to Hakka pronunciation (Niong Tiew Fu). Yong Dao Fu is Cantonese pronunciation, while Yong Dao Hu is Hokkien/Teochew.
The broth is clear but flavourful, comes with the soy beans that give it the rounded light flavour. The stuffed Tou Fu comes in a variety that you can either pick yourself or have it in a set.
Compared to those at Hawker centres and coffee shops, the price here is steeper. Per pax about $13 per including a drink.

Ambience: 2 (but with old homely feel)

Old boss only stall in Singapore,, sayang la. He retiring, closing in May 2022.
Very nice and delicious!!
However, $30.8 for two persons just eating normal quality of hawker food is too much expensive. Once in my life time is OK. Lol

Soup full of msg, confused menu. Doesn’t recommend.
We were confused how to order as we were only given a piece of paper to check the items. There is no price tag also, we didn’t know how much was the items that we ordered. We thought it’s like normal ytf that everyone choose their ingredients for their noodle or rice. But it came out 1 bowl minimum order 10 items. It’s too much for 1 person, so I shared with my friend.
When the food came, it’s very normal. And the soup was full of msg, I drank 3 glasses of water after the meal. Definitely will not go back. Not sure how they survive in the area with so many nice food. Anyways.

Visited this shop after realising the Chin Mee Chin shop opposite had a really long queue. Very happy with the decision to switch because the food here was good! The soup was light and complemented the ingredients on offer. Unique ones include quail eggs and the crispy tofu skin.
Price wise, every item is fixed price. You can order a platter based on the number of pax at the table or you can pick specific ones from the order slip.

My whole family loves it. The soup is clear and not too saltish. The crispy toufu skin is a must-have. It is 80 cents a piece, min order is 10/pax, but worth every penny in taste and satisfaction. Highly recommended.

Came all the way from Yew Tee CCK to East Coast Katong to try. Too expensive & taste normal. A plate like this less than 30pcs + 2 rice + 2 sour plum drink cost $25.20.
One time is enough will not come back again.
I can find a better one and resonable price at People's Park Hawker. 👎😪

This restaurant closed soon for good, therefore, we decided to check it out. In facts, boss and staffs aint friendly (they quarrel and bekcek quite often, sibeh short tempered during good business hours), workflow aint systematic and staff handles diners unfriendly or suka hati (we witness 2 tables canceled order immediately and one dined with bad mood all the way). Their 釀料 can't comparable with those I had in Malaysia, fist paste aint generous and Q弹 (doink doink).
Please be mind preped if you dine in, usually takeaway gt their food first. We saw 2 tables canceled order and paid for drinks after long waiting. This lunch took us 1.75 hours, we actually finished all servings within 10 minutes only.

Very happy that this store is closing for good. $0.90 per piece and they will not put the price upfront and hide it at the far corner of the shop when u pay. Very small ingredients and the smallest fish cake you can find in Singapore.
