Hong Yun Seafood is a stir-fry restaurant in Toa Payoh which is famous for their “white beehoon.” Stir-fry or zichar restaurants are outdoor eateries which push the boundary of culinary at relatively affordable prices in Singapore. No visitor should leave Singapore without trying one of the many top-notch stir-fry restaurants.

Hong Yuan’s signature white bee hoon is prepared by submerging fresh vermicelli in a robust seafood broth under intense fire. The vermicelli locks in the savoury broth and its flavour is enhanced by the generous serving of pork lard. (Simply ask them for extra portions of pork lard). The result is a delicious and inviting plate of white vermicelli. Yum yum.

We have been eating here for years in the past. Children’s favourite diced chicken fried rice. Son recently ordered beef Hor fun. Simple looking but the wok hei is amazing. Try it! 👍

Great food 😋 had 4 dishes for 4pax for lunch: Spinach with 3 types of eggs- century n salted n regular egg; braised tofu with minced pork; stir fry sliced fish with ginger n spring onions and a mini claypot fish maw + sea cucumber + broccoli; 3 white rice. total bill about $65. May request to dine in allocated air-con room-awesome given the temp outside was 32°C
