Location is accessible via Newton MRT (roughly 5 mins walk). Great selection of foods and drinks. Generous portion for fish&chips and soft shell crab. Cosy environment to dine in, will definitely recommend it to other foodies.

Celebrated my daughter’s 1st birthday at Daily Affairs and it was a great success! My guest loved the food and many could not stop raving about the Laksa, baked Tilapia with Hollandaise Sauce, Assam Pedas Prawn with Ladyfinger, Crispy Chicken Katsu with Japanese Mayo, Slow braised Duck with Chestnut etc). The rainbow birthday cake was also on point in terms of taste and looks. Everyone enjoyed it, even my father who never fancied desserts! The kids also had a fabulous time as the venue allowed for a lot of free play. We had the liberty to hire in a bouncy castle set up near the restaurant and there was also outdoor area that the kids could run about and have bubble play. Service was great and the staff were ever so friendly and helpful! Definitely a great place to plan a (kids) party and I would certainly be back to try out the rest of the food.

Tried the fries cheese fondue and the fries came swimming in cheese! 8hr braised beef was tender, juicy and I didn’t need a knife at all. The beef dish came with truffle mashed potato but didn’t really taste the truffle.

I love the concept that the chef will decide to create 2 different meals of the day. Each unique to itself. When you enter the place you won't know what to expect. Nevertheless I have never been let down with any day i decide to come here for lunch. Each dish is always filling enough and tastes good. At $9.90 you get the main meal, tea/coffee and ice cream

Nice food at Daily Affairs, their hot chips are the best in Singapore! About 10 mains to choose from, normal western options like steak, salmon & pastas. Ranging from $15 to $26. 20% off food Mon to Wed. Also plenty of drink specials. And noticed they do a lunch set for $9.90. Someone wrote they only take cash, please note they now have NETS.

Very cosy place with good value for money set lunches. Great place to wind down at the end of a tiring day for a beer or beers. The menu is unique, and I am certain if you are nice, and time permits, the head chef would not mind doing something that is not on the menu.

This will have to be one of the best kept secrets of in town dining. The prices is, for now, exceptionally value for what it offers. There is plenty of taste for the western menu and I am impressed by the slow cooked beef. My partner had the jumbo chicken we are both satisfied. They have a 1-1 wine for only $13. And we had a red and a white both of which are very drinkable (less dry). The dessert though was a little disappointing. I had the red velvet and it was on the strong side with the cream cheese and felt like it had over-nighted (if you know what I mean). The ambience is cosy with the herbs at the entrance, the sofa seats and the piped music. Service was adequate even though there was only 1 service staff. Getting there is a hop and a skip from Newton MRT. One small complain is the inadequate payment options. But I hear grabpay is going to be offered soon. Another complain is the requirement to pay at ordering. We paid for our mains, decided to have wine later and then dessert. So it was 3 payments altogether. Very 'leychey'. All that aside, I will definitely be back. Because overall, this place left us with a positive impression. Quality food without breaking the bank. Even though this is not my food bucket list, I will make a detour just to visit. 👍🏻
