For $55 we enjoyed this excellent Cat Mountain (Mao San Wang) - lots of flesh in this delicious durian.
I see many negative reviews, but we were lucky with our durian, and one of the joys of Singapore is sitting at a plastic table on plastic stools near the road, tossing durian seeds and pieces of the spiky shell into a plastic laundry basket on the floor.
They also provide drinking water, and for those who want, there are plastic gloves.
After the durian feast, there is a big sink with soap at the far end of the place (outdoor) at the end away from the main road.
I’m not sure if the sign above this place still says “Delight Fruits” - I recall something with a number - but the location is correct - the building on the corner near Ah Hung 24 Durian.
After my unpleasant experience at Chin Yong I walked to Delight Fruit Trading and met Peter Saw who was kind to show is the various types of durian and even make considerate suggestion. I tested his attitude by asking him to open SGD10 durian. He did so willingly and asked me to try out the durian before accepting it. I then asked him to choose a good MSW. He chose for me a medium size but very good quality fruit. It was only 1.9 Kg but I swear it is bigger than the red prawn I had earlier! I bought 1 D24, 2 D101 & 1MSW for SGD54!!! All the durians were fresh and creamy!!! I will certainly go back there again!!
