Hb and I chanced upon this place last Saturday by accident. Felt like we were back jn Japan the moment we stepped in the restaurant. Chef Kan was extremely friendly and showed us the seafood that had arrived the day before. We were blown away by the Aburi Sushi set ($28), fatty tuna sushi, grilled giant tuna cheek ($28), humongous & juicy slices of swordfish ($18), just to name some of the items we had. After chatting with Chef Kan he explained that we cld make advance orders of seafood if we wanted. So we decided to return today with our family ordering fresh sea urchin in advance. The Aburi Sushi set was just as good with slight variations in the types of sushi served, we suppose it's based on what type of seafood is available. The fresh sea urchin was so creamy and melted in our mouths. The grilled tuna cheek we had today was about triple the size of the one we had last wk ($58), more than enough for 5 adults to share. Our family had udon as well and were impressed with the noodles and stock. We had spanish mackerel sashimi which was slightly torched and oh so yummy. Although we had to wait a little for our food but it was worth the wait. Chef Kan was kind enough to serve us a plate of complimentary edamame and a scoop of hokkaido milk ice cream each as he was apologetic for the wait and knew we were celebrating our siblings' birthdays. Ventilation of the restaurant cld b improved because we left smelling like we had a bbq, probably because of our grilled tuna cheek, haha.. Food prices may be higher than at your usual sushi chain restaurants but the quality and ambience is definitely worth every cent, and a return visit.

I love salmon and the salmon sashimi simply melted in my mouth ^_^ I rly enjoyed the fried dishes such as the fried oysters and shrimp as well - not too oily with the freshness of the seafood locked inside the batter mmmmm. Location is convenient too as it is right smack in the middle of the CBD. Will definitely visit again!!!

With so many mediocre sushi places in Singapore, I did not come in with high expectation only because I hate being disappointed. However, it has completely surprised me how great every piece of sushi was prepared and the attention the chef has provided. 久々に美味しいお鮨を食べられたー! また、食べにいきまーす‼︎

Made a reservation via eatigo for a celebration dinner today , however we're attracted to their Omakase course instead of the ala carte . We absolutely love every pieces of aburi nigiri that's create for us . Chef Kan is meticulous and friendly. Pricing may be a little on the higher end obviously as compared to chain sushi places , but is definitely worth it . Looking forward on the next visit to see what's in it for us Thanks Chef Kan !

Sushi is the highlight here and not the cooked food. The sushi omakase is very well prepared with each piece of sushi nicely balanced with different sauces. Cooked food is decent but pales when compared to the sushi. Best to sit at the counter and let the chef serve piece by piece.

Came here on a Friday night without a reservation and managed to score a seat. Nice ambience, quiet with no music and quiet customers. They have a fixed menu as well as seasonal items listed on their blackboard. Interestingly, they also indicate which part of Japan the fish is sourced from. I like that you can order sushi a la carte by piece. I ordered a la carte: Ika, Tachiuo (yum), Kinmedai, Matsukawa Karei (first time trying, interesting flavor), Ishidai, Kohada (intense, not for faint-hearted) GF ordered the 9pc omakase ($60++): Ikura, Isaki, Aji, Shima Aji, Chutoro, Buri, Tachiuo, Hotate and Anago Every piece we had was good. Neta was excellent and in my opinion comparable to sushiyas in terms of quality and flavor. Super value for the price point. There seems to be only 1 chef making the sushi, so expect to wait. Despite not being full house, we had to wait easily 20mins.

We had enjoyed our Omakase dinner and glad that we selected Kan Sushi at International Plaza for our Christmas dinner. I am satisfied with the freshness & good quality of the food and the friendly good service 👍🏻 The Yuzu Sherbet was very impressive cos it was so refreshingly yummy but quantity too little lah! (maybe cos I was craving for more!) I understand well this is CBD area, hence for the price we paid it is for sure worthy Omakase although I could still feel a small room in my stomach 😅😂 maybe just add 1 more piece of sashimi to make it PERFECT? 😆😂 Nevertheless I will surely come back again, happy to have found a good quality Omakase with good service.

Went there for the omakase set 15 pcs, and I never expected it would hit beyond expectation. The sushi chef did a spectacular job. He was patient in explaining and the flavour are spot on. It’s like a symphony. So loved the experience and worth visiting again and again. The ingredients are so fresh.

Made a last minute reservation to have lunch here on a random weekday, and thankfully I did, because the place filled up pretty quickly. I haven’t had a good negitoro don in a while and opted for a negitoro set lunch. There was an option to have less rice but I found the portion just right. My companion had a chirashi don set, but found the rice a little too sticky for their liking. We also shared a ceviche which is absolutely the dish I would go back here for. If you’re fussy about your fish, it would be good to clarify what they are using since they don’t state it in the menu; could be that they use whatever fresh catch they have. I got shima aji when I went. The total bill was $80 including service charge and GST, which was a pretty okay pricing imo for pretty good food.

My go-to place for work lunches as it’s quiet and usually has seats. Staff is also very friendly and the sets are value-for-money. You can get a lot of sets under $15 or $20.

Excellent Japanese food, helmed by a very experienced Japanese chef. Best omakase sushi in town. Ala carte menu is of a consistently high quality. Totally recommended!

Lovely Omakase Course, Chef even surprised with additional Sushi! The Omakase was fresh and some new fish like monkfish, striped beakfish, and fresh wasabi. Definitely felt like we travelled to Japan for an exotic Sushi dinner, given how we cannot travel so freely yet, this was a pleasant experience.
