Carl's Jr

Carl’s Jr is one of my favourite fast food chain in Singapore before the arrival of shake shack and Five Guys. The chargrilled Angus beef burger is big and juicy. The all star meal is good value and I treat it as kids meal at Carl’s Jr for my kids. However, since covid, there is no more free flow soft drinks and salsa bar, which is the best past of Carl’s Jr. nevertheless, it’s still one of the best in Singapore.

Came for the usual American comfort burgers and man they hit the spot! The burgers were good and the onion rings plus Fried Zucchini sides we got were nice and crispy too. This branch is also quite kid friendly as they provided baby chairs and there were other families with kids around when we came. Staff were also friendly & promptly cleaned after each diners.

I have not visited in a few years since they closed down the one at Tampines One. I can say it was my favourite premium burger joint back in the days. I just visited on 28 May 2022 again after making a rare online Lazada purchase on a Chilli Cheeseburger combo which retailed at 13.50 SGD. The business was really good with seats all taken up at 845 pm. I wonder if it had to do with Army Open House 22 at F1 pit. Nevertheless I found a two seater right at the back corner. This corner is like a hot zone out of the reach of the air conditioning. I am glad that the rudimentary salad bar is still there and also there is a good selection of cold beverages, including nestle lemonade and green tea and a separate ice tea and lemon wedges. The salsa sauce was empty, so was the chilli dispenser. I told a Eurasian looking, bent back male server about it but he didn't take any action. I had to tell the lean Malay man working at the counter and a Chinese lady and they took action to replenish it. The ice dispenser was not working well and many customers were seen having problems getting ice from it. The food is excellent. Though I think the chilli beef sauce in the burger was not as good as years ago. Refilling of drinks seemed to be allowed and customers were making full use of it. I look forward to visiting it again.
