Hidden gem for great coffee in international plaza ground floor. This is one of the 2 best coffees I’ve had in the tanjong pagar area, the other being equate coffee. Here I had the latte and the dark matter bean. The other choice seem to be more fruity.

Batch Brew ($3)
Described as a black coffee between a long black and a filtered coffee. Slightly more acidic than your average brewed coffee, which I know some of the black coffee lovers will like. Served hot and you can get it in a larger cup.
The service is great, the lady at the counter was also politely chatting with a regular, explaining the menu selection to me and also carefully guiding another staff on what to do too.
Excellent coffee from this local roaster. Choice of two of their blends or single origins. The default for the 8 oz is a single shot, while the default for the 12 oz is a double shot. They use Meiji milk. This latest double shot 8 oz white (Ethiopia Shakisso Tima) had earl grey milk tea notes.

Ethiopia Harfusa - fruity, milk chocolate notes but could be more robust and clearer in flavour.
Ethiopia Kochere - fruity, chocolate notes but flavour could be clearer and aftertaste could be better.
Equilibrium blend - chocolaty but vague fruity notes.
Double shot 12 oz whites:
Colombia La Joyeria - almond, chocolate milk notes.
Lumos blend - blueberry notes.
Highly consistent coffee shop across all outlets and their IP outlet does not disappoint. This one is takeaway only.
Best thing about alchemist is that they rotate their 2nd beans weekly so you get to try their floral/fruity coffees.
If you like your lattes, choose the dark matter, it's always great.

Coffee is excellent. Shop space is small, only one bench for 2/3 people to sit on.
Iced long black is not bad, didn’t expect it to be a smaller takeaway to-go store though. Was kinda going to try the actual cafe experience.😅
Good fuss free coffee with pleasant service nonetheless.
