Review Wolf Burgers - Singapore

I would rate this higher actually if not for the wagyu burger (apparently the flagship burger) asked for medium and they gave it to me well done. Disappointing- the juices were gone and the burger was flat, refer to the photo. Then there was the king salmon, also a chef choice and that one was better. I was disappointed with my burger and ordered another - truffle mushroom beef. That hit the spot. Told the counter that my previous burger was not medium and it came dripping with juices, even though the patty was non-wagyu, it tasted better because of its done-ness.

Place was crowded around 6.45pm. Burger was quite good and price was justified. We ordered the umami and wolf burger and was delighted by the taste. The umami is special but too oily for my liking. Not the best place to get healthy food. We also ordered the sweet potato fries which were quite nice. Their menu indicated that they had 7 sides, but only 3 were available. Hence, the 4 stars. As another guest mentioned, the truffle pasta salad was bland. I felt the truffle smell was strong but lacked a good amount of salt and pepper. Out of their condiments, they had tomato sauce, chilli sauce and mustard. Would have been great if they had mayonnaise but that's just a personal preference. No points deducted there. In fact mustard would have warranted a plus point. We paid sgd 35 for 2 burgers, 1 side, and 1 bug fries with 1 soda and 1 bottled beer. Quite an average price point for a filling dinner.

Nice meaty burger. Patty tasted fresh and hand made. Bun kept up well with the juices from the patty. Above average on pricey-ness. I had worse burgers at much higher prices, thus if I’m in the area this place is worth a try. Wouldn’t go out of my way for it. Staff was friendly too.

Tried the dry aged burger, cooked to medium. It was sizeable. The patty was juicy and tasty. Chipotle aioli gave it an interesting twist. Crispy fries went well with the burger, and was pleased that they had mustard in their selection of condiments. Not sure if I missed it, but it would have been nice if the burger names had a description of their fillings/fixings in the menu. Has to ask what was in each burger. #localguides

Bad experience previously, ordered dry aged beef and I didn't know there was a broken bone inside the meat patty. When I chew on it, hurts like hell. Had to see a dentist and luckily doctor say is the gum injured. Does not look appetising and worth it for a $18 meal though.

What you see is a Magic Shrooms Burger and a Double Wolf in the background. Sides of thick cut fries and sweet potato fries... Salivate. They taste much better than they look! Tell them medium-well and you'll get a fresh, juicy, REAL beef tasting patty in your burger. No fillers here. Like craft beers? There's a very small but nice selection. The ambiance is pretty laidback. No crowds to contend with. If alternative rock from the '00 is your thing, you'll be winning at "name that tune" while enjoying your burger. Family friendly. Pleasant view of the lawn outside... Great for the kid to do laps. Parents, you know what I mean. :D

Visit on 13 Feb 2018 at 4.24pm. The restaurant was quite empty - there was just 2 other persons there besides me. Ordered their Magic Shrooms burger and sat down at a table. Could see the kitchen/grill area where they prepare the food and saw that the staff cooking my burger was kind of taking his time with it, and I was wondering why it took so long when I was the only one who ordered food. When the burger was ready, I had a few bites of it and realised that most of the patty was overcooked to well done when I had asked for it to be cooked medium. I went over to the counter to show it to the staff and then went back to my seat with my burger. One of their staff came over and offered that they make me a new burger. I was kind of reluctant as I was really hungry and I was almost halfway through that burger, and it's really wasteful to throw out the remaining burger. But the staff insisted and I relented. She also offered me coffee or tea but I didn't want any. They made another burger to medium for me but it was already cut into half when served, maybe to show me that it is medium, but I actually don't like my burger cut up if I'm not sharing it with someone else. I was also offered a bottle of water, which I accepted, and asked to let them know if there's anything else I need. I've always enjoyed my burgers at Wolf Burgers at Pasarbella at Suntec City and it's my first time to this outlet. Somehow, I wasn't as satisfied with my burger experience here. I do however, appreciate the customer service given to me today, ie: the steps taken by your staff to rectify my overcooked burger. Although I usually get my burgers done just right and there are no such issues. The restaurant felt kind of stuffy inside compared to the rest of the mall, and I couldn't really taste the mushrooms in the burger. I'm not sure if it was overpowered by the truffle oil which I saw the cook pouring onto the burger and I could also taste. Hope management will look into maintaining good food standards throughout your outlets or I will probably have to look elsewhere for my burger fix. Also, customers are required to clear their tray and trash here. They basically have a huge garbage bin next to the tray return counter. I must say that I really hate to touch/open garbage bins with their lids down as it just feels really yucky. It would be better to have a waste disposal where we can push open using the tray or simply leave it open so that we can just throw the rubbish in.

Wolf burger Bread - stale, tasted like it was left out for awhile. Beef - they only serve well done or medium well. Had the medium well, not really a fan of those 2 as it ended up really dry and blend which was kinda expected I guess. Pickle - didn't have a bite to it. A little mushy. Lettuce - Crunchy Tomato - I think it disintegrated somewhere The only saving grace was the fries. Pretty dope. Shroom magic burger Pretty much same as above except with mushrooms. Truffle was abit too overpowering. Might come back after 6 months, maybe I got a lemon today.
