Right smack in the heartlands of backpacker haven which is Dunlop St in Little India, lies the next best thing for Halal cafe hoppers! The Great mischief is the branchild of Chef Ashraff, who is behind the well-established, visited-by-our-Mdm-President-before afterwitsg ! If you have not heard of the success of Afterwit or have not gone for seconds, I would suggest that you organise another get-together/secret Santa with your sepupu jauh or colleagues yg u tak biase bebual pat ofis sebab dorang tak gerekz. Anyways, The Great Mischief is definitely a great place to go to especially for their first-of-its-kind Halal Catalan-inspired tapas bar/cafe! Nama ajer bar tapi tak serve alcohol sebab owner nye sembahyang punya orang. Trust me, ni gua punya Mak Ngah punye anak woi! Nama ajer Great Mischief tapi sumer ikot sunnah dan jalan yg lurus. Anyways, you must be wondering what type of food is served at a tapas bar?! Firstly, tapas tak samer dgn tapai jadi takmo kasi janji kosong kepada nenek sedare mu. Chef Ashraff has been to Barcelona to get inspiration for his fusion delectables such as croquettas (my favourite), calamari dgn dip al-baikz, pizza dgn bawang besar dihiris pat atas, serta mcm2 lagi light food (like waffles with ice cream!) which are perfect for a sit-down chit-chat chillax-jax session with members! Did i tell you that the service is impeccable as well? Friendly waiters will be serving you, aimed at making your experience a truly mischievous one. AND.... for those who think this is the usual cafe with CAFE PRICES, i am here to tell you that all the dishes are priced below $12!! And i am not kidding!!! So, for those students who are bringing their significant other, or crushes or just someone whom you think might fulfil the other half of your Deen, then this is THE place to try out!
