Ayam Penyet President

Ayam penyet or smashed chicken is the best in this restaurant for me, else the catfish also good. Worth for the price. This is one such place and I'm satisfied with the food so far. Tried the ayam penyet and ayam bakar. The bakar is somewhat dry but still edible while the penyet is clearly the star of the show. Not bad if you're looking for a midrange restaurant. We had the bef rendang, which was delicious - the sauce was rich and thick and the meat was succulent. We ordered a plate of lontong to go with that, but it was only a few pieces. Also had the grilled chicken thigh, which was also cooked nicely, with a plate of rice. Deciding to give it another try, again I was a little let down by both, and especially so, the customer service and the quality of the food. Auntie with glasses was moody with black face as from her body language i could tell she did not love what she was doing as she kept giving stares to patrons - coz they keep wetting the washing area. As for any indo restaurant, the quality of food can just be determined by the avocado juice. And here, theirs has just too many ice cubes and sugar added to the juice. Sweet sauce drizzled over the chicken. Would have been better if the meat was more tender..Ayam penyet, deep fried tempeh, tofu and fish cake. With Chilli and more Chilli. Oh my nose is flowing!
