Yong Kee is a popular stall at ABC Brickworks hawker centre. The unassuming stall is a perennial favourite among cab drivers and night owls for its lengthy opening hours from 8am in the morning to 2am in the wee hours.
The stall offers two types of noodles - Bak Chor Mee or minced pork noodles and He Wan Mee or fish ball noodles. The fish ball Mee Pok (something you can ONLY find in Singapore) is probably something I missed a lot. The springy flat egg noodles, mixed with pork lard, sambal chilli and fish sauce, is simply a gift from god. The fish balls, handmade at the corner of the stall every morning, was springy and exudes everything fishy.
