nestled in an unassuming corner of temasek polytechnic, the CIA at top table is the home of possibly the best dining experience $25 can give you.
The food here is classic french food done in a modern context, and the menu manages to keep to the roots of classical french cuisine without compromising it's authenticity. The food for example, is presented beautifully and is very modern in its design, even though many of it's components have probably been around longer than you have.
unique to the restaurant is it's guiridon service, certain menu items are prepared tableside on a cart, giving curious diners a look at how the food is prepared and giving them a more interactive experience. the banana flambee is of particular delight as the cinnamon flakes sparkle and dance in the flames right at your tableside.
with all this and more for just $25, it's hard not to reccomend the top table for diners looking for an exciting new experience.
Amazing food, excellent service, great prices. The students at CIA have certainly proven themselves and it's an absolute joy to eat there every single time (I think I've eaten there at least 4 times now?). Thank you for everything! :)
Enjoyed delightful lunch thrice in a fortnight this Sept, with three different sets of friends, all of whom were full of praise, and left feeling very satisfied & happy. Excellent service, and friendly, as always. Favourites were the yummy Genovese, Sea Bass & the semi freddo. And the freshly baked bread was so good too. Great going!

Excellent and prompt service.
Ordered the mocktail and it was refreshing with a spicy twist (ginger). Seafood salad is a must, seafood poach to perfection, Vietnamese/Thai inspired purée, garnish with green papaya and crushed cashew. Stuffed chicken wings, crispy yet succulent and juicy on the inside. Accompanying yoghurt prefect to cut through the richness of stuffed wings.
Chilli crab ravioli is unique, marrying of local flavors with classic Italian technique that is intriguing to the palate.
Kaya pain perdu, local "traditional breakfast" dessert. A twist to the local kaya roti with soft boiled egg.
Awesome flavors and superb service with an affordable price tag!
Lunch experience at top table was great. The classic french food served were impeccable and the service was prompt.
Ordered hot appetiser of the day, sautéed chicken livers for the main course and the assorted ice cream and sorbets to end off with a sweet note for desserts. The plating of the food were niche-looking and defined. The flavours compliment the dish exceptionally well. Kudos to Dorcas and Don who prepared all our table side dishes professionally. The banana flambé were executed beautifully with the flaming flare and the tiny sparkles of the cinnamon powder when dusted on the flame. The creamy vanilla ice cream, savoury brown butter ice cream and green apple sorbet were paired marvellously. Definitely a good happy ending.
The beef cheeks were delicious! And you really made us feel welcome! Thank you once again
5 star food in a well managed environment.
Great value for money.
Food is always fantastic and service is great!
Excellent hospitality with impeccable service. Interesting take on different dishes with a local twist in it. I highly recommend it for adventurous foodies who enjoy trying new dishes to excite their taste buds. It is a real value for money to dine here
The dinning experience here was fantastic! The steak tatare prepared table side was very fresh and delicious! Main course was served promptly and accurately. Dessert ended our meal with a sweet note; Chocolate souffle piping hot out of the oven, creamy ice creams and sorbet and banana flambèe nicely done by jade! Jade was doing flambèe professionally and at the same time entertaining us and telling us what goes into the flambèe. It was fun dining experience!!
The stuffed chicken wings and Laksa fish were extremely flavorful and tasty. It Made me leave wanting more! The servers also enhanced the whole dining experience by being super attentive and knowledgable!
Excellent food and wonderful service as usual.. Big thanks to Elaine for the warm hospitality and to our server Marcus Tan as well for his professionalism and delightful demeanor.. I do hope that you guys might reconsider the use of lime juice in your Ferrero cocktail though.. Lol.. I look forward to my next dining experience at TT.. Cheers..
Had an amazing time over at TopTable today! Excellent service staffs portraying knowledge for the food tracing back to where their produces are from to every component of the plate. Innovative combinations of cuisines reflected on the dishes. The cocktail and mocktails were carefully crafted to suit the humid weather. Keep it up! Thank you for the excellent experience!
It was a dining experience that far exceeded our expectations and was great value for money. Food was excellent, service was incredible... We really enjoyed ourselves! Well done students of CIA Singapore!
Good food, fantastic ambience and great service by passionate individuals. Had an excellent lunch. The stingray cake, fish Benedict and semi freddo is highly recommended.
Don't miss this great value dining opportunity! And keep a look out for the dinner service .
It was nice to have a chance to sit and have my lunch here. From the moment my friend and I entered, we were constantly greeted with warm smiles from hospitable students.
Then came good food cooked by the students themselves. With interesting takes on fusing local flavors into western dishes, like the Chili Crab Ravioli and Kaya Pain Perdu. Even the Mocktail of the day, "Kiss Me Baby", had a pleasant and subtle hint of ginger in it.
Overall, it was a great experience and definitely an eye opening experience for anyone who wants to have a preview of how a culinary school operates.
