Alhamdulillah, me and my colleagues (non-malay) will always make a point to have our lunch there at least once a week if not, more frequent.
Welcome the extension as it allow more customers to patronise the cafe.
My suggestion is to separate the drinks counter as I found that it is a hassle to re-queue just to order additional drinks as the queue is usually long.
Nevertheless, the cafe was awesome.
Thank you Ustazah, for your generosity and always asking feedback from customers.
Semoga Allah tambahkan rezki untuk Ustazah n team.
Pre-ordered 10 sets of Nasi Ambeng (3pax each - self collection). Intended as a lunch treat for fellow colleagues, we wanted to try something different from those standard buffet packages. They offer a straightforward, no hassle ordering process (Makcik Melor was very prompt with her replies and clarifications) and they are very generous with their 'lauk' portions. It's communal dining at its best and my colleagues (esp non-malays) can't stop raving about the food and the experience Highly Recommended yo!
Humble little space at the basement of Westgate. The Nasi Ambeng Duet came in a huge portion, and cost only $23 nett for the premium option. Food was tasty and the spice level was perfect for someone like me who doesn't take spices very well.
Food with nice taste and huge portion. Clean and cosy, but limited seats. I’m not sure if it’s consider pricey for some, but a big plate for 2 pax like this cost $17. To me it’s more than worth the price! No service charge, only GST.
Personally I love the beef rendang, I’m not a fan of chicken drum, will prefer curry chicken pieces instead. In any case, it’s yummy!
The food was abit pricey. I ordered 1 serving of beef nasi ambeng cost abt S$11.90 then i add in sambal petai a small potion cost abt S$2.50 but the beef rendang was generous my aunt ordered asam pedas ikan pari abt S$3.50 Just because the nasi ambeng was nice we dine in.. the service crew was very nice...
Are you always looking for such a clean and fresh dishes? No hesitate. You got it here 👍👍
Located in Westgate mall and easily accessible by the Jurong East MRT station, Hajjah Mariam cafe serves delicious Malay food.
The cafe is not in the style of a Starbucks or Coffee Bean but more along the lines of a coffee shop stall. In other words, this more a place to enjoy food rather than ambience (though seating is neat and clean).
Food is as authentic as possible inside a shopping mall. Additionally, it's priced reasonably given the indoor air conditioned environment.
The Mee Soto is a particular favorite of mine though I also enjoy the rice dishes.
If shopping in Jurong East Hajjah Mariam is a recommended detour for Malay food.
Really good Malaysian/Indonesian food. Not the cheapest food for a mall hawker center, but well worth the price. Tasty rendang, and they have the traditional Tempeh dish as well, that I didn't see around Singapore much. It is in the basement, with lots of seating. The big plates for more than one person are a lot of food.
Duet Nasi Ambeng for $18. Comes with beef/chicken, sambal goreng, potato begedil, fried coconut flesh, achar. Very authentic and delicious! Flavours overflowing!
