Excellent wanton noodles! Perhaps one of the best and most original you can get in sg! The veggie noodles are always my favourite as they are a healthier option.

Today, we bid farewell to the delicious Cho Kee Noodles branch at ITE College Central. Very sad. Me and my buddy ordered a bowl of wanton noodles each, with extra wantons in soup, and shared 10 fried wantons. Very full. Will try to visit other branches soon. Wishing Jonathan, Ai Min and family prosperity and health!

Our dear friend John Lum had asked if we’d tried the wanton noodles in Old Airport Hawker Center, so we headed there this evening. We saw two wanton noodles stalls facing the Old Airport Road nearly side by side. Hmm…, which one? But it was actually quite obvious, one with queue, the other without. So I joined the queue at Cho Kee Noodle. I was 7th down the line. The queue was moving steadily though not fast. Realized that the stall was an OMO (one man operation). Yet the stall holder was systematic in taking orders and cooking the orders, moving most of the time without really looking at the customers, asking the next customer his orders without turning back. Just went on and on cooking. He remembered each order precisely, even with or without Chilli. You see, he mixed all the condiments in his stall, there’s no sauces or Chilli outside the counter. Even putting into the bowl a plastic spoon, customer only needed to pick up order and chopsticks. Once order was ready, he pressed the Q number for collection. All by himself. Stall holder was pretty conscious of what he was doing and took pride in dispensing the orders. When he served my order, he saw a small piece of vegetable in the bowl of soup, he wanted to change the bowl of soup. I told him it’s okay, just vegetable, but he said it didn’t look nice. And went ahead to replace the bowl of soup. The noodles was cooked just right. Texture was firm and springy. Nice. The sauce and Chilli mixture was just right. Most customers like the deep fried Wantons apparently, I saw a few customers ordered additional fried wantons. They were nice, but I preferred the boiled wanton really, perhaps more healthy too. There’s some vegetables (chye sim) but would be good if he provided more though. There was one piece of pork lard! Hahaha, next time must request for more. One set back I feel was the char siew wasn’t roasted sufficiently. It was totally lean pork but seasoning was okay. I would prefer char siew with some fats and more “charred”. Nevertheless, at $5 per serving, it’s reasonable. Thank you John Lum for your recommendation.

This stall operate by the founder uncle and his daughter. Their Wantan Noodle have it own unique taste and flavour, portion is not that big but is was pretty affordable as compared to others stall. Only charge $3.50 for small and $4.50 for a large one. Their noodle texture is good, tender n flavourful. They provide many different type of noodles, like spinish green color etc. With the sufficient portions of CharSiew and some vegetables. Service is polite with good manners. I would like to visit again.

Ordered beetroot wanton mee, but I’m not sure if i received the normal one as the colour isn’t that vibrant~ taste was not bad. Noodle is not the qq springy kind but it’s not soggy. Kinda like thinner version of well-cooked you mian kind of texture.

Very nice noodle, I buy buy often. I like the couple that sells it, always nice and polite. Have some customised option and good queueing system with numbering.

Portion is small everything else is great! If you like some old school tradition taste wanton mee. You are in for a treat. Everything from noodles is handmade and everything is just right. Price wise not to friendly but reasonable. What are you waiting for??? Come down to try it for yourself already:)

Pretty sure this is the better of the two wanton mee at this end of the food centre. Sauce could be a little spicier, but noodles, char siew and wantons are all good.

Love the spinach flavoured noodles. Very special, not common. They hv 8 types of noodles u can choose from. The noodles is also springy, sauce is nice, wanton is nice but minus 1 star for the char siew which is below average. Price $4.50 is reasonable so I will be back, will order wanton only, minus char siew Tried the tomato noodles today, not bad.
