We got tea here twice and each time it was beautiful can highly recommend it. We got take away and were struggling to eat it the portions are great. The owners were pleasant and it is definitely worth every cent.
This eatery has been around for more than a decade or two, though it have shifted several times in the bugis locality. The Taiwanese couple owner are very hardworking to put together a simple and wholesome plate of pork chop rice, containing crispy and tasty cut of meat, mixed veg, pickled veg, complete with refillable seaweed soup and chilli. Our whole family enjoy this simple fare every once in a while as this is a no-frill and honest eatery. The price point is very affordable which explains the persisting queue during lunch hours.
Just discovered this place on the corner of Beach and Middle roads recently and managed to find an opportunity to eat lunch there this week. The food is basic, but it's tasty and doesn't seem too unhealthy. Popular place, so be prepared to line up for a bit.
went there about once a month, i wont say i am a regular, but their standards never failed. like their chicken cutlet more. worth going to have a try, definitely value of money for such a good food !!
I have been a regular at this eatery for the past 12 years (or more). As previous reviews would have mentioned, they move regularly but I would be sure to hunt them down.
Prices have definitely increased over the year, they increase by about SGD$0.30 around every two years. It's still very affordable considering that it is in the CBD which is known for expensive food. Their signature Pork Chop Rice is SGD$4.30 and comes with one large pork chop, rice and two small side dishes. To be honest, their side dishes have been my favorite item on the plate since I first tried their food.
They have other items on the menu, but take my suggestion and go for the pork chop rice. Standards have definitely not dropped in 10 years.
I'm not surprised this venue is full whenever I visit. Good food, quick service - eat in or take away, good prices. Highly recommended.
This is the only place where one can have a plate of large pork chop rice that is seasoned with 5-spice powder and served with sautéed peas/carrot/corn side, pickled vegetables side and a bowl of clear seaweed soup. A very humble "underground" place, go only if u don't mind simple ambience. When u reach its entrance u have to walk down a short flight of steps as it is a basement located place. The meat served is constantly is fresh, white and lean. You can opt for chicken chop or fried fish in batter. A must try because the seasoning is so special!
An interesting eating place that is at the basement of a building. It serves mainly pork chop rice or chicken chop rice. I had pork chop rice and it was very nice. The set came with a bowl of soup, rice dressed with some sauce, some side vegetables and a hot piece of pork chop. The pork was tender and well seasoned. The chili sauce was a great compliment. Price was very reasonable making this meal very good value for money. Drop by if you are along Beach road.
一種非常好的傳統台灣風味豬排飯。 酸味鹹菜在較甜的一端，但與套裝搭配時味道很好。 唯一的缺點是那道菜不是真的。
