4.5π for the food
The kebabs were juicy and well seasoned bursting with spices and meaty flavor. Favorites in our Jumbo Kebab platter are the meatballs, eggplant, chicken and lamb. Fish was a bit dry.
The platter serving meant for 2 is enough for 3 small eaters in my opinion.
The chicken Sofra Kebab is a must try.
Perfect combo and medley of flavors from smokey baked bread stuffed with chicken, eggplant, tomato, walnut , and oozing with cheese.
Another must try is the Kunefe - cheese pastry topped with ice cream. Yummy.π
4 π ambience
Get a table by the window for the best views. The tables are also quite generously spaced apart for privacy, well ventilated, bright and definitely better their old place at Shaw.
3 π for service
Service is unfortunately still barely passable with 2 staff being quite gruff and indifferent.
Also took the ordering tablet off our table without asking to another table so it took some time for us to get their attention (not easy - seem to be short handed) to order our dessert with a new tablet.
5π to the boss who personally came to serve us more water and check how our night was going. π
The meal on the whole is good.. but not great. Lack of some kind of aroma in the meat. Hummus and kunefe taste good. 2 of the dips probably the eggplant dip and red pepper dip are too salty. The eggplant kebab is the best out of the 4 dishes ordered.

Finding the restaurant was not difficult. We made a reservation for 4 pax and the team got back instantly to confirm the reservation. As we came earlier than our allocated timing, we were seated while our table was being set up. We were brought to our table, an outdoor corner table which had a marvellous view of the city skyline and the sunset. To our surprise, there was also a rehearsal of the NDP and we were greeted with the helicopters carrying the flag and the jets flying above us. Our waiter was a young lad, mr Taha. He gave us a wonderful service. We ordered through the ipad and then waited. Within 3 minutes, our drinks arrived and our first dishes of soup arrived within 5 mins. This is very fast despite the full house in the restaurant.
Our food arrived one by one and we had a magnificent dinner as a group of 4. The food was delicious that it made me not want to go to Turkey as i found the same experience here in Sofra.
What I loved among the dishes was the special Adana kebab. It was a mix of both lamb and beef and had added pistachios inside, which gave a very unique taste and smell that made me want to eat more. The lahmacun was spicy and mouth watering. The salad plate was the unwanted child and despite being delicious, we ignored the plate with the sesame bread as we were too engrossed with our mains.
The restaurant managers in coats were also nice guys, checking on each table every 15 minutes to see if everything was up to our expectations.
The sunset view, the city skyline and the food made such a good experience that I will be coming back for more nice vibes in the future.
What I didnt like is that the food that was served were big and my stomach isnt that big. Therefore I couldnt satisfy myself fully as the food was too good to be finished.
