A MUST try. Very authenticated hainanese home cooked crusine that you used to taste during childhood can be found here. Very old school cooking with very good portion n price is reasonable. Their Hainanese mutton soup...you will love it as there is no mutton smell n portion is just right. The hainanese braised pork knuckle with shitake mushroom n chestnut is well braised that the mushroom n chestnut is just mouth watering. Love the skin that melts in yr mouth. For $39.90 though is for 2 pax..is more than enough for 3, with a complimentary small plate of veggie salad to balance the meal. I am not an apple pie person but their apple pie is a Must try to put a satisfactory closing to a fantastic meal. Will recommend anyone anytime to this place with nice cosy ambience n good food. Staff is very friendly n cheerful.
How to not love a cafe which places emphasis on the taste of all its foods? From a simple mushroom soup to the pan-seared black cod, from quiche to the beef stew.. U can have all of these on the same table and still have each of this dishes whispering sweetnothings to ur taste buds. BTW.. Their blended soursop is oh-so-gorgeous with thick creamy texture and lovely fragrance. I love their service, don't mind the wait (because good things are worth spending more time on), and thoroughly enjoyed the ambience everytime I've been there. It's a must visit whenever I go to Changi Village. Please continue to serve up amazing and hearty homecooked country meals!
Good food. Friendly service. Hainanese Western style cooking. Suitable for the whole family. We had the curry chicken, Asian mutton stew and sausages and mash. All very delicious and enjoyable.
Popped in after a walk around Changi and found this quint little family feel restaurant
The pork knuckle was big and good enough for 2.5 pax and comes with an assortment of sauce.
The spaghetti was tasty but a little let down as it arrive cool.
Limited indoor seating but glad the evening was cool and with COVID restrictions, it was just the nice ambience for a family of 5.
Had a little lunch at this cosy cafe, almost hidden in Changi Village. Good old "Ah Khor" home cooked food. Very well prepared and delicious and tasty, didn't had that MSG after meal thirst. Attentive service. Must return to try as much as possible, their menu is so comprehensive, so much to choose from. Price wise, a little higher but the portions did the justification. No regrets for money worth.
Great experience every time. Not the first time here but always didn't had photos.
Love the steak today, previously had the pork knuckle which was good too!
Service is always good though the kitchen can bea tad slow sometimes but at least the food came out good. : )
Parking is always an issue so we normally go early, park, go for a walk, then eat.
Ordered the German Pork Knuckle x1, Garden Salad (Regular) x1 & 500ml coconut-watermelon waterx1. More than enough for 2. Excellent food, ambience & service for SGD$70.60. Very generous servings. Asked for more apple sauce & sauerkraut. No extra charge. Beagle (dog) friendly too.
Kind of pricey but mostly good food and good portion. Probably had the best ever Caesar Salad and the Carbonara was also very good, just would have prefer they uses a flater linguine or even fettuccine instead. The pork chop was good but it wasn't our intended order as we were running out of choices due to our 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th......choices all sold out.
