Been here countless times and decided I should share the review with everyone because not only their ice cream deserves the 5 stars, their staff too!
Love how all their staffs are always friendly and there to answer your queries with regards to the flavours and so enthusiastic for you to try them!
Exceptionally love the hojicha, milk chocolate & cookie + lychee sorbet topped with their black charcoal waffles! It's one of the nicest waffles I've ever had (which is also why I'm so hooked on to it)
Ice cream texture is really really smooth and not too sweet! Recently also discovered their tea is really good; especially the lychee rose & moscato! Words won't be able to express how amazing this gem is, so go try & find out!
Kudos to Travis & Brian for the amazing space I'll never get sick eating their waffles and ice cream!
After a full lunch elsewhere, when we ordered 6 scoops of ice cream layered on a charcoal waffle for the 4 of us, I was doubtful we could finish them all- boy, was I wrong.
The ice cream was creamy, with just the right blend of flavour and sweetness. At first I thought the sorbet was a little too sweet (as sorbets are normally known to be loaded with sugar), but after a while, one could taste the flavour and just the right blend of tartness. The Apiary and Bailey's were a delight to the palate, the Chocolate was super rich and felt like cool, melted Godiva chocolate on the tongue. Indulgent. The Charcoal Waffle was worth every single calorie and we had seconds. (I would travel halfway across Singapore just for the waffle again. Can I have the recipe please? Please?)
The delicious smell of freshly cooking waffles wafting thoughout the cafe and the sweet, lingering taste of well made ice cream leaves a lovely picture in my memory of an enjoyable afternoon spent with close friends in a cosy cafe on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
The owner, who makes the ice cream himself, takes pride in the quality of his desserts and their presentation - and it shows.
Variety of flavours and crispy waffles. Taste wise is good, as what you'll expect from famous ice cream places like Apiary. However my overall experience was a little less enjoyable because it was quite loud and hard to chat when seated upstairs. Not sure if it's because of the other patrons or the place didn't have proper sound proofing.
It was still busy when we went at 930pm on Sunday.
The waffle and ice cream combo is delicious. The waffle has a crunchy outside and soft inside. We got it with the classic apiary flavor - would recommend
I have to commend the staff here! They are friendly and helpful when I asked them a series of questions.
Even though the place had a short queue, managed to get my seats pretty quick on a Sunday night.
They have a wide variety of ice cream flavours and the decision to choose just 1 or 2 flavours is almost impossible. Blue milk was the more well-known one so I went with that. I didn't regret it at all.
- Okinawa Special Menu for Okinawa Fair 2022 -
Went here to try out the unique ice creams that are available. But were here just in time for the Okinawa special. Ordered the single scoop in a cup of “Brown sugar with butter cookie” ice cream. Pleasantly surprise that the taste of brown sugar is well balance with the ice cream. Light and not heavy. Ambience of the place is nice too as the waiting area is huge. But at the pace they are serving, you won’t wait too long.
Came here a total of 3 times and tried a variety of flavours. Excellent deco at this shop and it’s nice and neat. Very good waffle ice cream
Recommend the pistachio flavour and the apiary flavour which has some honey in it. Overall excellent desert shop and probably the best desert shop in the area!
It’s quite a busy shop and there’s always a long queue esp weekends, had to get a queue number and wait for them to call you
Apparently, a very popular place. Queue is pretty organized. Sitting area is only at the second level.
I ordered Lavender, Earl Grey and Apiary(didn’t know it was a flavor). Fortunately, all flavors are good. Apiary being the best.
Great waffle too. Buttery fragrant really builds a good mood ending the night.
Orders has to be picked up at the first level, means you have to go down and fetch your ice cream and waffles up once the buzzer goes.
Washroom is hidden but clean. I would suggest to put a sign on the toilet doors. Washroom is also a walk-in room, so it helps to keep whatever smell in there.
Overall, pretty pleasant.
Went for ice cream at Apiary but it was full. The staff told us if we wanted to takeaway or eat there. Pretty impressed by the queuing/numbering system they have in place but we decided to just have ice cream cone and walk around the area.
We could even scan for the menu while queuing which was great to minimise contact during this pandemic.
Personally, they have one of the most beautifully rich ice cream, the flavours were not overpowering and it didn’t melt that quickly too.
I had the Okinawa brown sugar and I love the bits of sugar (I think) that gives the smooth ice cream a little bit of texture!
Would come again to try other flavours and sit down as the waffle really attracted my eyes.
Tried the Pistachio, Apiary and Earl grey ice cream; my favourite has got to be the Pistachio! It’s really robust in flavour, and the flavour wasn’t watered down by milk or anything. Will order it again~
Waffle was great, like the usual buttermilk ones. 🙂
