Chef Kas and hostess Amber were nothing short of amazing. The meals were sensational and the Sake to match was to die for. A must visit while in Singapore.
Izy is a great restaurant to visit. It's refreshing to patronize an eatery that has put so much thought in all aspects of the restaurant experience. The cool decor and excellent service are supported by the delicious food and drink. Food highlights are the fish carpaccio, vegetable tempura, wagyu don and wagyu special. Drink highlight is Suntory draft. A must visit.
Food is pretty good and the menu has a decent selection - though on the higher side. We had the Wagyu don as recommended. It was good, but we expected more due to the rave reviews and the price. The prawn ramen was a nice surprise, broth very robust and flavourful. Our favourite was the chicken karaage - it was excellent. Happy Hour is til 7pm.
Service was ok, seemed to only have one guy taking the orders. A small gripe was that upon making the reservation, they assured us that we could use Burpple Beyond but when we got there they had forgotten the date and realised it was a PH eve and therefore we couldn’t. Was disappointed because we wouldn’t have come here otherwise and would’ve done a different day when we could use our deals.
Otherwise, it was overall pretty good.
Prawn Mee Pok ($16). Izyfook has replaced Izy Dining and Bar at the same location, now serving up our favourite local dishes in a chic and funky ambience. Expect to see celebrities hanging out here.
Besides char siew and roast pork from Roast Paradise, there's also this mee pok in a tasty wet sauce full of prawn and pork taste. There's also sakura ebi for umami and texture, and hard boiled egg. I can only imagine this would be more perfect if they had used more premium prawns, but it's already an addictive bowl of mee pok which I ordered a second serving just for myself (since the first bowl had to be shared between three of us!).
The prawn noodles and iberico red curry really good! But the price was on the high side! Portion is not very big. We used burpple one for one! :)
The food was quite expensive but we used the burpple beyond 1-for-1 deal to get the tiger prawn ramen and grilled chicken. It costs $33 in total. The food and service is great, the waiter kept refilling our water. The seating area is at the back of the restaurant and feels very different from the front of the store, felt like we were walking into Narnia. I'll probably come back some time to try their pork dishes.
