Review Holycrab - Singapore

The ratings are real and well deserved. The lady boss takes so much pride in the food and it really shows. We started on a high note with the Capricorn, corn kernels in salted egg yolk and curry leaf.. every pop is so delicious. And every dish after that was simply on point and it just got better! Not a fan of crab but the Green Mamba crab was sooo good, meat is fresh and man Tao is a must to soak up all the gravy goodness. Looking at menu, they really make it a point to offer classic flavours and unique sauces that you can’t find anywhere. Be sure to order the fried vegetables it full of flavour & wok hey and not over cooked… crunchy to the bite. The scorched vermicelli had such large prawns and was made so well, love the crispy burnt ends. Be sure to ask for green chillis to elevate the flavour. We finished dinner with rib eye steak. As a crab restaurant they sure know how to grill a good steak.. the charred garlic cloves nicely wraps up the meat in more flavour! You can definitely count on Holy Crab to be innovative… even their menu is custom made and full of interactive surprises ($300 just print it). Can’t wait to come back for more on their menu!

Food is good and service is superb! Staff are very friendly and attentive. Boss is always around to ensure service is good and the chef will walk around when he is free a good time to feedback. My favourite is the sesame chicken, have to order, tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. Crab is firm, wine is smooth and reasonable priced, recommanded!

Great romantic atmosphere, suitable for dinner dates or special occasions. The lady server (or maybe she is the owner i am not sure) was kind enough to suggest us not to try Fries as it’s “like many other places” but instead should go for the bacon/pork belly. The pork belly came in with juicy, satisfyingly fatty slices with chili and honey as the sauce - which made it well balanced in taste. She said the green chili crab there is special too as it’s the only one in Singapore. I tried it and it was not bad at all but I would personally like the traditional chili crab over this green chili one. Fried rice is delicious too. Price is at a high end but it’s worth the price for sure.

One of the best Chili crab in Singapore, with the signature green chili crab. Holy crab served variety dish of food, especially in Sea food. A part from chili crab the recommend dish are Grill octopus and deep fried salty shrimp, this two dish is really amazing. The food is really tasty and quality is top. A really must try for chili crab.

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. We are lucky to come from an area of the world that has a lot of great crab, and we have eaten all types of crab all over the world, and several times in Singapore. HolyCrab is one of our favorites! Not only is the food delicious, but the owners are super friendly and give great recommendations based on your tastes. Their signature green mamba crab is fantastic and so flavorful! Mild spiciness was plenty spicy. We highly recommend ordering fried buns to dip in the delicious sauce. The buns are so light and crispy. We also loved their Capricorn, and the milky greens (which are not actually creamy), scorched vermicelli, and Calamansi slushie helped balance the heat. The milky greens had amazing wok caramelized flavor. Highly recommend! We can’t wait to go back!

Mmmm this place is sedap giler with the wokhey and zhong kou wei (strong-flavoured!). The service is super, both the staffs that served us are so friendly! The laobanniang also kept on checking with us on our food/taste wise, which was a really nice gesture. Capricorn - corn kennels coated with salted egg yolk is a must try!! It's so well-balanced and tasty! Veg - chose baby kailan and the staff ask us if we want to try with chilli and damn that was definitely the best choice we made that day. So delicious and full of wokhey!! Clam beehoon was okay, very wokhey + strong flavoured. Not spicy at all despite bunch of gingers that they cook together with. I feel like this will go very well with blackpepper! Tried the crab, green mumba - omg delicious or what, it's a little spicy but we felt like we can go for higher spice level (yes it's customizable!!) The Sri Lankan Crab is priced at $90/kg & you can split half to try other sauce with extra charge. Remember to order the coconut drink because it's sweet!!! Basically this place is HAO CHI and will definitely come back 11/10 xie xie laobanniang for the good food ! Also, reservation is recommended so you'll get nice table & secured seats ;) The only thing I didn't like was the very long gap serving time for each dish that I feel full before my crab comes but I guess it can be requested to serve all together.

The 24-hour in advance anything should be phenomenal. The highlights of our evening were the crabs and fish head. The house specials were insanely good … I hope they are consistent. The food was very tasty and the more people to share the merrier cuz you can try more stuff in the menu. Reasonable prices and I’d be happy to go back.
