Been there thrice and my most recent visit was definitely the best! The newly launched Impossible Burger was fantastic, something I would definitely get again. Also had the iced rose latte which was pretty good. The fries is kinda pricey after the gst & service charge, but is a sizeable portion. The unicorn cake was okay to me, but my friend really enjoyed it, so it is up to your personal preference. Some hits and misses with their other dishes, but overall a great cafe for a meal on days you feel like treating yourself!
The Ba Chor Hey Pasta is too salty. The Steak Are High is an interesting dish with 3 crispy and greasy onion rings, two thick middle size slabs juicy and flavourful beef steak, 2 golden brown hash browns on a bed of fresh rockets. The steak though a little tough but overall, is still good. The truffle fries were good. I like the distinctive truffle oil and cheese taste.
Interesting cold drinks - Midnight something and Charcoal Lemonade. Another friend had the iced latte which she cited as sweet. I had a strong iced cappuccino which I like.
The three cakes - The Rock, Unicorn Cake and Milky Way were the stars of Boufe Cafe. I like these three cakes.
Service was better than the last time I went. It was above average. Simplistic , black and white decor. The fairy lights added to the ambience.
I paid about S$40 per person and I find it quite expensive.
When for breakfast on a weekday. Was quiet and great for conversations. Food and service were equally good. Had the mushrooms on toast with corn on the cob.
Breakfast on weekends start 10am but opens at 9am for coffees only.
Had lunch this time round and tried the prawn noodles and mushroom truffle pasta.
