Are you looking for the traditional Tip Top curry puff you grew up with? And is confused by this shop frozen curry puff? Not to worry: you should check out AMK Curry Puff instead (which is just around the corner in the old coffee shop where the Tip Top brand started from) If your taste buds are itching to find out what Tip Top Curry Puffs used to taste like in the past before it expanded to include franchise outlets, AMK Curry Puffs ($1.50) are the way to go.
Long before old Chang Kee made it big, this was the big name in curry puff in Singapore. A tax evasion story plus a venture with ABR Holdings (which manages Swensen’s) later, it seems the one who started it all lost the brand name Tip Top and have decided to go his own way again - under the name AMK Curry Puff.
Tip Top on the other hand, has has undergone massive rebranding and expansion, but their curry puffs have a frozen taste and is a far cry from the original.

Good old taste where the curry potatoes and eggs / chunks back to the early 2000s I have tried before they shifted to jubilee square. Must have for snacks or quick bite .

I enjoy the curry puffs from here. Establishes local brand with many years good standing and good reputation, and they have grown with a few outlets now, but i think the puffs are getting a bit smaller than before. Service always fast and friendly for me.

Curry puffs are very tasty. The staff is considerably polite. However when I requested to specifically pack the beef filled puffs separately, the staff was a little impatient with my request just because she packed it already. Nevertheless, the request was still carried out, albeit quite unwillingly. Anyway, it's a takeaway stall. What's important is the puffs are really good.

Bought 4 curry puffs from the AMK outlet and 2 had very obviously soured, my hunch is that they mix the old unsold curry puffs with fresh ones. I think that speaks for itself. Never buying again.

Absolutely horrendous skewers! Didn’t try curry puffs, so I won’t comment on that but the skewers I ordered were cold! Essentially tasted like leftovers! It was bad enough to motivate me to write this review which I rarely do.

Staff is polite, puffs are good especially the rendang puffs. Portions are getting smaller year by year though, to me it is not justified as there is already periodic price increase to cover inflation., less 1* for that
