Great place for breakfast! Highly recommend their breakfast sets with your choice of meat (sausage, ham or bacon) and eggs (whatever style you like).
Best tasting bread ever! I love their whole wheat and sourdough bread! Don't miss their sticky cinnamon buns too!
Used to accept cash only but now they accept PayNow and PayLah payment options! What a relief!

Simply bread used to be a beautiful and cosy place for a weekend coffee or a weekday respite. Over the years, the staff became very unprofessional and unfriendly and prices of food went up despite the worsening quality. Management does not care to improve nor engage customers despite the many complaints.
Staff will speak to you rudely, sweep the floor beside you and demand for you to raise your legs for them to sweep right where you’re sitting, clear your unfinished coffee when you head to the restroom, and tell you aggressively no studying when you simply want to have a coffee with your friends and chit chat. Sadly, simply bread evolved to become an extremely hostile and cold environment.
These days, I only drop by for their sticky buns and ham and cheese sandwich as they are one of the few things that still taste good. Chai latte used to pack a good punch but gradually started tasting like plain milk, so I just settle for black coffee.

I’ve had 2 very disappointing experiences here at this outlet. Both involved mere orders of a bowl of soup. Each time I’ve had to wait almost 30 minutes for the soup to be served and I’m sure it’s not cooked from scratch since the cashier went off to check if there was any left in the kitchen. First visit when I checked, they said tersely that I just had to wait and second visit, they’d completely forgotten and ran off with a gasp when I reminded them.

$8 for chopped salad....lettuce, 5 small cherry tomatoes (halved), about 10 half inch width pieces of celery....just pop by next door at Cold Storage to see how much $8 worth of salad gets you.
$14 for a BLT...bacon was cooked way too early, and was not crispy. For that price, the sandwich looked really really sad.
Now, you'd be saying, 'it's Simply Bread, you pay for the service, the quality etc etc"....but nope, we had to communicate with a cashier who was not a native English speaker (and given the location, it was not a wise idea to have her manning the till), and we had trouble getting our order across, along with the other customers.
It also looked like the outlet was terribly short-handed but yet were still accepting food delivery orders. I think you should either stop or restrict food delivery orders during these staff shortage times so that the customers who actually make the effort to visit your store can have an experience that commensurates with the prices you charge.....you dont even serve water anymore, how sad.

This place used to be so amazing it’s so disappointing what it’s become. My parents and I came for coffee and the waitress at first gave us someone else’s coffee, we had to tell her we never ordered it, then after 15 mins our food order went to another table and we asked about it 20 mins after we ordered and they grabbed it from the other table and threw it out, and made a ‘new’ one suspiciously quickly. Never coming back. The photo attached is their ‘bruschetta’ we waited for.
