I patronise this carrot stall frequently whenever I am in the Lorong 8 Toa Payoh neighbourhood. I simply like the way the carrot cake is fried - black sauce is not too sweet, the carrot is soft and not oily too. The Uncle has been in this trade since his younger days. He is still selling @ $2.50 and $3.00 respectively per plate.

It’s like those traditional carrot cake places. This stall uses less sweet dark soya, so it’s more savoury and you won’t feel so guilty. The chye por is of a good amount and complements the savoury taste. Hungry already? You have to go in the morning only.

Been around for many years, same as the morning kway chap with superb long queue. Very old school black carrot cakes.
