First time here but was told by staff this branch is closing down by Feb 2022. May be due to covid affected business even though is full house near CNY now. Nice food! Requested vegetarian menu in advance, and requested fried rice to replace yi mee, so thankful for the extended service provided.

I would have never opt to eat here if not for the request of a friend. I knew the standard of this restaurant had deteriorated over years, used to love their dim sum buffet in the past. I’ll kept this review short, they served the worst chilli crab I have ever tasted, chilli crab in instant chilli sauce lol! Eat here if you want a waste of calories, time and money.

No regrets going for ban heng for our wedding banquet! Alex (manager) was super accomdating and made sure everything went smoothly. They have a changing room for the wedding couple. We took the pte room and still had space for displaying the album and tea ceremony. We had a 9 course meal and they allowed us to change some things in the menu. And they kindly helped us cook the tang yuan and tea for the jing cha (we provided the ingredients).

Ban Heng
Theme weddings with Ban Heng never disappoint. Discerning couples get to realise their dream wedding….
Interesting use of the word “discerning” which means having or showing good judgement.
Consumers are being more socially responsible, ethical, green and eco-friendly as we move towards Fair Trade across industries.
However, Ban Heng Group of Restaurants who is a veteran in the culinary industry doesn’t seem to be living up to its name when it owes suppliers money (at least 5-figures above).
While it seems like Ban Heng Group of Restaurants are still in operation, the time-honored (老字號) branch at Chinatown has been discreetly shut down without any news because they also owe the landlord money.
The restaurant made money but siphoned it out to other subsidiaries under the Ban Heng Group of restaurants and did not intend to pay their landlord and supplies.
If you are thinking of going to one of Ban Heng Group of restaurants to eat, please think twice - whether the restaurants are paying their suppliers especially during times like this when everyone is trying to just make a living.
Maybe the shareholders pockets are happily lined, if this is so, it only means that people who are trying to make a living becomes poorer while the rich gets richer.

My most favourite was the pork buns 👌🏼 fresh and soft buns and the pork was soft and tasty 💯 so full after eating everything!

This lady server was INCREDIBLY unprofessional. One of us had an egg allergy so we asked her nucely if any of the dishes we ordered had any egg. Her response?"Oh I dont know anything. You ask someone else." In chinese and just walked away. Food was so-so only. Rest of the staff were very nice. (FYI i work service line as well)
Chilli crab was a little too sweet.
