I had the salmon mentaiko don ($14.90). They are super generous with the mentaiko sauce that every mouthful of the black sushi rice is filled with it. Love it as I love mentaiko. It does get a little heavy at the end due to the rich creaminess though. The garlic bits in the flaming beef bowl makes such a simple difference. Just that the wait for the food to be served is rather long for a don bowl place when there isn’t a whole lot of customers.

Really good seared meat dons at a decent price. Covid must have hit them hard because only one server doing everything from tending to customer and cashiering as well. But still good service and delicious food.

Went on a weekday n seats were readily available. Used the Maybank promo on 1 for 1 deal. Liked the salmon mentai bowl but salmon pieces is bit little and bowl is smaller. The fried chicken don is better than the grilled fish ones as the latter is dry n hard. Will definitely come again if the promo is still on. Oh nearly forgot to mention the manager on duty that day was pleasant n helpful. F&B needs more of this kinda manager.

First time trying Flaming Don and I wasn't disappointed. Had the Signature Flaming Beef Don - although the beef wasn't the greatest, it still tasted pretty well! I ordered the Flaming Chicken Don and it was so good! The onsen egg tasted really good with the chicken. We ordered it with the set, which consists of free flow drinks and soup. Definitely would come back!

Got our donburi cravings fixed at Flaming Don, where japanese rice is paired with charcoal grilled meat ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Got our hands on their salmon aburi don (for me) as well as their truffle chicken don and it was surprisingly good. Their salmon is not fully cooked (which is why i like it) and it'll instantly melt in your mouth. Paired with their perfectly cooked rice, it sure is a perfect combi. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Their truffle chicken don is also filled with like strong truffle flavor (so those who love truffle it's your go to) Really a great dining experience and what you paid for is really worth it for the quality of food! ⠀

I can't think of anything wrong with this place. The service is so quick and the two staff we typically see waiting the tables are super friendly. We almost always go for the flaming chicken plus just 1.99 to add a miso soup and free flow tea! The chicken is charred to perfection. You get nice moist pieces of what seems like chicken thigh with the burnt crispy ends. This time I got the pork belly and it had a bit of a different flavor (some sort of miso). Again, had the nice charred pieces but not overcooked. It's really lean too so I don't feel as unhealthy eating it. When first looking at it though I thought there was way too much rice. But as soon I mixed the sauce into it, I devoured it all. This has become our regular go to when we don't want to venture too far from home or spend too much!
