Ah Hua Kelong Seafood on Fire Simpang Bedok, one of the best seafood meal I ever had. At a very affordable price, we have a tableful of fishes, crabs, mussels, prawns, clams, lala, cockles, sotongs and more. The fishes were the best in my opinion. Love how they were so fresh and grilled to perfection. Not to mention all homemade sauces which go so well with the ingredients. Highly recommended, whether you stay in the east or not. It's definitely worth your journey down from the west.
If you are coming in a big group like us, remember to make a reservation with them in advance. The chef behind Ah Hua Kelong Seafood on Fire will actually planned a special menu for you so that you get to try everything they offered without having any dishes in repeated flavouring. A very personal touch added by the team which you seldom experience in other eateries.
Fresh and good seafood with awesome service.
The day before I contacted Ah Hua Kelong and asked them if they sell cakes as I needed one for a birthday surprise, and although they do not sell any, the staff went the extra mile by helping me purchase a birthday cake from a cake shop instead. When I wanted to make payment for it, they kindly refused and insisted that it is a birthday treat. I am really touched by the nice and sweet gesture by the staff at Ah Hua KelongGrandstand, and I will definitely return for more good food next time �
I paid a visit to Ah Hua Kelong at Simpang Bedok at the recommendation of a colleague. I was told that they have the freshest seafood in town, all of which is prepared in a homestyle/motherly fashion (with TLC) and at very reasonable prices. That's hard to believe in today's world but I was not at all disappointed. The food was, as promised, praiseworthy.
My family and I opted for simpler dishes namely the Charcoal Grilled Seabass, Sambal Lala, Sotong Kicap and Kailan. Each of the dishes was well-prepared. The freshness of the seafood was apparent and the food was very tasty. The seabass, in particular, was superb. The dishes were all reasonably priced especially given the decently sized portions. The staff were also very friendly and helpful in providing recommendations. Collectively, this made for a very enjoyable dinner.
While I regret not trying the crabs, prawns or scallops, I know that I'll get to do so soon as I foresee myself coming back (in the very near future). The food is certainly worth the effort :)
Went to bedok outlet, the fish was really good and fresh. I don't usually eat seabass(very picky with fish) but surprisingly I ate almost the entire seabass by myself because it is really so good !!! Plus the combination of tiger beer. It made my day so perfect. Strongly recommend. Will definitely visit again
Ah Hua Kelong at Bedok Simpang XL cockles is a must try;serenade the whole flesh with sea of dark black sauce with chilli padi. Bite into crispy succulent of the flesh and you will not go for the small ones anymore. Got to taste it to believe it. Does it goes well with fried kway teow......
You dont need alot of marination with fresh produce and the snapper is charcoal to perfection that i ate it as it is and it is so good that the tail of the fiish is not spared.
I dont really like mussels because the ones I had tasted like chewy rubbery texture. But once you tasted their fresh mussels, you can really eat the difference! A mussel convert!
A simple plate of kai lan with garlic is not what I had expected! Seems like the garlic has become the Main instead of the kai lan. The fried garlic entice your tastebud to shove it more as it cant get enough of it. I dont mind snacking on this if its available for sales.
Freshness and home made condiments and passion that would bring me back the next time.

Thank God for the Ah Hua Kelong server who walked past us at Simpang Bedok carrying XL cockles! Otherwise we wouldn't have known about this place. Exceptional service from the guys who run the place - friendly and knowledgeable. The grilled seabass is perfectly charred on the outside, with fresh tender flesh. Love that they change their veggies based on what is market fresh that morning too :) Great getting to know Nicholas and Hao Meng. We're looking forward to dining here again!
I had made a reservation via WhatsApp last sat morning with Ah Hua Kelong at Turf City. They responded and kept the food portion for us. When we arrived, the staff was very polite and offered to help us to find a seat and serve us well. The food was really delicious and very fresh. Highly recommended if you are looking for fresh seafood and great service

HUGE FAN HERE! Have been a regular patron of Ah Hua kelong, both at Pasar Bella and Simpang Bedok. Their food quality has always been top notched and pricing has always been very reasonable.
Furthermore, Bryan, Kai and Nic go all out not only on their quality and freshness of their seafood, but also in their service to us customers.

The Simpang Bedok branch is very good. The garlic mussels and charcoal grilled pomfret are the best. The owners Nick and Vanessa are very nice and friendly - very enthusiastic and competent business owners!

Pass by a few time and cannot get a seat. Finally booked and understand why it is always full. The service staff is great. Takes time to explain all the dish and make recommendations. Attentive to clear and he dish and replace clean plates and cutlery. The food is very special. It’s local fusion food. Plating like western food but taste more to local Singapore. Loves all the food we ordered all of them are unique in their own ways. Will come back for more.
Must make reservations way in advance! We were lucky as there was a last min cancellation and we got bumped up from the wait-list for Saturday night dinner. Nice and chill ambience.
All the fish and seafood was super fresh and the food was tasty. Enjoyed every dish. Would definitely order everything again 💯 (besides the fried calamari in a Korean type sauce, didn't enjoy it very much but it was fried really well)
Great service, very on point. Good recommendations by the waiter and thorough explanations given for every dish that we ordered. An additional touch in the toilet where they had sanitary pads + we celebrated a friend's hen's party there and they gave us a complimentary dessert.

Excellent service. The waiters and waitresses asks for you want water the first thing you’re seat, and make sure it’s constantly filled. They also make an effort to explain the menu and provide you with a brief overview of the dish the moment it’s served.
The food are quite tasty as well. Most recommendations provided in other reviews are pretty much accurate.
There are parking lots (60 cents per half hour) right outside as well. The parking lots were relatively empty at around 6pm. Both parallel and normal lots are available.
A cosy place with amazing seafood fusion dish couples with an amazing team and excellent service.
We were recommended some of the more popular dishes and favourites of many from entree to mains.
Each dish brought out was thoroughly explained and beautifully presented. From the inspiration to the way it’s been cooked, we enjoy the process and the intricate details of the service.
The kombuchas were fresh and perfectly paired with some of the dishes.
We had early dinner and it was great as it wasn’t too packed. A nice walk around the area after stuffing ourselves with the freshness of the sea…
Every dish is well designed, taste and visual executed tastefully. Curry mussels are must-trys for every table. Seafood is freshly supplied by their own kelong. Highly recommend to come back! You wont be disappointed.
Perfection for a great Xmas dinner. The waitress dropped some of my Shimeiji Fries, and they came back with another bowl of it. Impressed with their attentive service, delicious high quality seafood and the good vibes that restaurant is giving me.
Been an avid supporter of Scaled since they were still located in Haji Lane. The curry mussels are my favorite dish, and I will normally order them for myself and will not share. That's how much I love them.
Scaled is one of those places that does it well with their local fusion flavors and really fresh ingredients. It also helps that the price of the dishes won't break the bank.
If you love seafood, you won't regret coming here! It's best to try and make reservations to go here because it's always packed.
Recommended by my friend. The seafood are so FRESH and really good. Good customer service. They will explain the dish one by one when it arrives. Roasted prawn is the must order. Fried prawn head from aglio olio so crunchy. Their prawn dishes are worth to die for. Will definitely come back for other menu. ❤️
