Review Peach Garden @ Thomson Plaza - Singapore

We enjoyed the tim sum but the variety seemed kind of a limited. Service was efficient but the meal was certainly pricey. Interesting charges for tea and wet napkins!

Quality of their dim sum dishes have declined. Range of dim sum options available has also shrunk - pretty disappointing. CNY price hike not justified at all even with the usual 15% discount on all Dim Sum menu. The plate of XO Carrot Cake costs $30 with only a few very small pieces of prawns and scallops. Does not taste the same as previous years at all too. Fried Rice with a few pieces of tiny abalone costs $48. All before taxes. I can understand CNY price hike but this is too unjustified. Do NOT be fooled by their 50% dim sum promotions at all. Highly recommend you visit Taste Paradise instead. Staff is overall still as efficient for higher customer turnover but please focus on improving the quality of dishes served. Perhaps better to offer an ordering sheet with clear prices of each item on the dim sum menu. Disappointing encounter.

Read quite a bit of bad reviews about peach garden. But for this branch, Thomson Plaza, the service is good. Staffs are friendly. The food is served in push carts and is hot and crispy. We were served immediately after we sat down. The waitresses keep pushing different Push carts to serve hot food. A lot of variety.

I’ve eaten at Peach Garden outlets elsewhere before and I’ve been impressed by the variety and quality of their food. Had the afternoon dim sum at 3 pm on a Friday at the Thomson outlet. While I enjoyed the pushcart experience and friendly aunties, the variety of dim sum was a lot less than expected. After several rounds of showing our table the same kinds of foods (that we ordered already), we decided to order the Peking duck. Duck was ok but could be juicier and served hot. My favorite dish was the fried wontons; fresh, crunchy and surprisingly meaty inside. Service was good and staff were polite. Still prefer the Peach Garden in the CBD as my go to.

It's a no waste time restaurant. Upon sitting down, food immediately dished out on the table. Foods serving is fast an the timing is good too. Tim Sum High tea 2 hours buffet it's worth the time and money. Great food and service!

Love the friendly aunts there. They really give their best to serve us. The dimsum is really legitimate. Almost everything is amazing. Hot favourites are 红油抄手, truffle dumpling, carrot cake and the Har Kow. Tea is great too. The food is too nice that we forget to take photo and there is discount too.

Food extremely expensive in this neighbourhood area. Ordered a set from set menu price marked $78, at the end find out is $78per person! Total $198 . I totally think that price a bit misleading people. For food, I understand there is shark fine , Scallop , cod fish in those dishes . And taste nice . But I would rather than spend this money in Michelin star Imperial treasure not here.

A normal neighbourhood restaurant inside Thomson Plaza but their items are not value for money. Standard of food is normal yet fine dining pricing. A small plate of candy (usual is peanut pre set on table) contains of peanut candy and rice crackers costs $8++. A small portion of steam fish costs $30++.. A small portoon of fried fish coated with salted egg yolk cost $30++. A yam paste costs $8.80++. A portion of fried chicken stuffed with squid paste costs $58++. Chicken was hard and stiff, not even crispy at all. Ee fu noodles with scallops costs $52++. Too watery, not to my liking. 3 pieces of char siew bao under tim sum menu costs $8.80++. A serviette, a normal wet tissue, cost $1.20++. Even due to inflation, their prices are really unreasonable and not worth the money. Will never patronize or recommend these restaurants to anyone.
